On the eve of the most important election in our nations history, I wanted to start a thread with the sole purpose of getting each and every one of the members of this forum to make their public commitment to get out and vote tomorrow.
I dont care how rainy it is, how busy you are, how long the lines are, or how much you dont like either candidate. Get out and vote! Make the commitment and let your voice be heard.
We are at a dangerous crossroads in this country, and we must do our part to stem the tide of radical change that Obama/Pelosi/Reid want to bring to our country. Ronald Reagan once said that "Freedom is always only one generation away from extinction", and today that rings more true then ever.
McCain may not be your ideal candidate. He may not be conservative enough for you. And he may not be as Republican as we need him to be. BUT... if he is able to defeat Obama tomorrow and hopefully derail him from possibly ever becoming President, then he may just go down as one of the greatest Presidents of all time by default. McCain is the man we need at this time, if for no other reason then Obama is the last man we ever need to take on the role of Commander in Chief.
So make a public statement right now and commit to go out tomorrow and vote down the most radical candidate in the history of our nation. Make calls to your family and friends, and get them on board with going to the polls to vote down the radical left wing agenda. Offer to drive someone to the polls that may not have a ride. Do something, anything to help get out the vote tomorrow. Lets not just sit on our hands and wait for the time to come when we have to take back our country.
If you dont want socialism, then get out and vote!
-
Amen!
-
I've already voted early, stood in line for 2.5 hours.
The only way to stop the Evil One is for every last freedom loving American to get out and vote.
God Bless America
-
I have never missed an election... I feel very strongly, if you don't vote, don't complain.
-
DONE!! sent my absentee ballot in a couple weeks ago. ;D

You know, here in Minnesota we are counting on the spoiler from the independents to keep a foul mouthed comedian out of office. I intend to be one of the ones voting for Coleman while the Dems, Inds and frustrated screw themselves.
I'm not sure the third, forth or fifth party spoiler is in the best interest of our cause to overthrow BHO.
However, we are a Democratic Republic, and it is TAB's Right to vote as he sees fit. I also understand his view that California is a winner take all, but how many times in history have the experts been wrong about the way things would go? And, how many of those times could one or two votes decided the outcome?
I also don't care if they say that I am only one out of 30,000,001 votes. I intend to be that one vote that makes the difference, because without the first 15,000,000 over ruling the other 15,000,000 someone's single vote wouldn't matter. It's called the POWER OF ONE to steal a phrase.
-
I'll be voting for Sarah Palin tomorrow, Oh and her running mate as well.in NY They are listed on the Republican and Conservative line, I'll be voting Conservative.

so any bets on who will win CA???? ;D
-
I'll be up early to vote. I'll put it were its needed. I'm sure it won't do any good though. This is a blue state. I can only hope.
-
May the silent Majority get up tomorrow and vote, like they have done before, those who don't do polls, or speak out and would rather not be disturbed, but when push comes to shove, just get up and vote, like they did in 1994. All of us, just go do it, stand as long as need be, but DO IT, our lives as We know them do hang in the balance.
-

That's great, Jay! We're making a family affair of election day this year. I'll be driving one set of grandparents to vote in the morning, then the other set later on (yeah, I'm a lucky guy). After I drag my brother out and we cast our votes, my dog and I may make our way over to Ohio and see if we can't do some damage there. Hey, if they think were democrats we might stand a chance. ;D Vote early, vote often, and above all... vote McCain!

The wife and I cast our votes this AM.....now all we can do is pray..........
-
Went at 0605 this morning. I feel confident. (some praying involved)
-
The wife and I voted..... took 2 hours..... also got 2 friends to the polls as 1st time voters.... both voted straight Republican ticket..... also followed up with all family and friends to make sure they cast their votes.
-
Went to the polls at about 10:15 this am. Busy, but no lines.
New vote machines...color in the oval beside your choices then feed it into an optical reader. Ya don't get it back but I guess they could recount them manually if needed.
-
Just got back, took about 5 mins in line and about 2 mins filling in the bubbles... helps when you bring your sample ballot with you.

Got three new voters here also. Two of my sisters-in-law and one of their husbands registered back in the summer so they could voter for the first time (in their mid forties and never even registered).
Every little bit helps....all voted McCain.......

Hell yeah! Two votes just turned into five. Maybe that is why the polls are clogged this year..... Not first timers excited about Obama, but rather true Americans who are scared to death of him....... The story that the MSM wont report!
-
In spite of my own personal grievance toward the good Capt. McCain, I voted for him anyway...
I voted for my dog Harley in lieu of John Kerry as my protest vote for this evolution...
-
Voted..and we had to color our little spots in too.. and then it zipped right in the machine...
I voted straight Republican all across the board.
To hell with anyone Democrat this time around.. We need all the conservatives we can get in every office that there is.

You want faith in the system? Our son moved to Kansas in 2001 to go to school, and in 2004 became a resident there. Our daughter moved to Iowa to go to school in 2004, and this past spring became a resident there. Both have transfered car registrations, drivers licenses, and registered to vote in their persptective states. Went to vote this noon, and above my name and on each side of my wife's name on the official register were both of our kids. Called them both, told them to get their butts up here quick and vote here too!
Vote early ... Vote often!
-
Same here ;) Now all I can do is wait and see if the rest of us came out of the shadows and voted. All I know is if you want an AR. You'd better stand in line. They're going faster than they're coming in, according to my local gun dealer.

Thank You Timothy!
We'll worry about the biggest issue today, and deal with the message to the system tomorrow.
By the way ... this thanks is coming from a guy that voted for a professional wrestler once upon a time. However, in that election it was not only a chance to send a message, but he was also the best choice (The other two professional life time politicians have both fallen off the face of the earth).

thats not surprizing at all... unless you register in the county you live in... you almost never get put on the rolls.

You mean Jesse "The Body" Ventura?...... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Seriously though, I heard the guy on TV several times....he seemed to make some decent sense.

From what I've learned from my big sis who lives in Minneapolis, I'd have voted for the "Body" myself. He was definately the better choice in that election cycle. My big sis ain't no dumby!
-
Don't feel bad, I voted for a body builder... more then once... Sad how every thing he was going too do to fix CA got voted down by the people of CA..
-

Thats right..... If Republicans lose the right to filibuster (Dems get super majority), it will get real ugly real quick. A vote for anyone with a (D) next to their name is a vote for Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It will be bad enough to have a far left loon in the White House and two far left loons running congress, but if there is a super majority then all Republican congressional votes will be nothing more then empty political statements.
-

That's not the issue. They are on the rolls where they both live. No problems at all. However, they are both still on the rolls here in Minnesota! Last election we the election judge made note of our son (there is an official way, and they stated it, but for some reason it was never followed up on).
With the ability to register when you do your drivers license wouldn't you thing that when Kansas and Iowa notified Minnesota of the changes that Minnesota would follow up?

we are talking about goverment agencys here... you know, the place you go to get a job when you can't cut it in the real world.

Jesse ran a good clean campaign and appeared to be the best choice. In reality the worst legitimate thing I heard is that he did no harm and we stood still for four years ... not bad in my opinion. He was a real guy, that spoke plain english and made everything that went through his office be broken down into understandable language.

Should be that way more often.
Things are made out to be more complicated than they really need to be. I guess it makes politicians feel more powerful.
Wasn't Ventura an ex-military?

Navy Seal I believe

Great minds and all that. Exactly what I did. And exactly for the same damn reason - no dumbos. You may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but you a dumbocrat? You're not getting voted for.

He claimed to be a Navy Seal, and it was never disputed while he was running or in office. A few have tried to discredit him in recent years, but it has never stuck. So, I stick with he was.
-
Regardless of what he was or wasn't, it was fun to say "Our Gov. can kick your Gov's ass," and no one would argue with you ;)

UDT's went through the same Basic training as Seals any way, the only differance was Seals went on to further training to carry the mission further inland.
