Title: reloading supplies shortages?
Post by: alfsauve on November 03, 2008, 04:34:31 PM
GREAT NEWS:  The wife, on her own, say, "Sweatheart, you need to stock up on ammo!".   [YES!]

Okay so I go to Magnus Bullets and stock up on .357, .44 and .45ACP bullets.  (I have plenty of the other calibers)

Then I go out to MidwayUSA to stock up on some brass.   OOPS.   Everything is back-ordered.   .308, .223, .357mag, .357max, .44spl.    I'm looking at alternate suppliers.

Bummer.  I like supporting Larry, because he pays for Wednesday night on the Outdoor Channel.

Try Berry's Mfg.   (berrysmfg.com)

Berrys has very limited selection.   .380acp, .223 and .45acp.   The .223 is range brass.

Anybody dealt with Arms and Ammo?

I just need brass.  .223, .308, .357Mag, .357Max, & .44spl.   I'm pretty well fixed for .40S&W and .45ACP.

Google "reloading supplies".
Try:
 Starline brass
Wideners
Midsouth
Natchez
Grafs.com
Lock Stock and Barrel
If you can get a copy of Shotgun News there are numerous suppliers listed in there.
There are other, but these are the ones that come to mind quickly.

Thanks, Blackwolf,

Cableas, MidSouth and MidwayUSA are backordered and Natchez won't sell to me.

I'll check out the others, but it's a slow process.

Forgot to mention that I read somewhere several months ago that whoever was making the .357 max was going to stop making it.  I think it was Remington.  Even then people said they were having a hard time finding it. If you find some, better get it.

I had the same problem finding .357 Mag brass at Midway USA. I was looking for Starline. I ended going directly to Starline Brass, got what I needed, and it was CHEAPER to boot.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, Starline doesn' carry 357Max, but I'll bookmark them for the future.

I'm trying to get all the brass at one swoop to save on shipping and handling.
