Title: USATODAY Gun Poll
Post by: 10/22kid on November 05, 2008, 09:54:04 AM
USATODAY has a Gun poll in it's snapshot section.

Does having a gun at home make it a safer place to be?

To vote go to www.usatoday.com scroll to the bottem and you will see the Snapshot section in the middle.

If you want to see the results http://www.usatoday.com/news/snapshot.htm?section=N&label=2008-11-05-arms

The fight for our gun rights begins now, and we can't lose this fight!!

I was vote number 5461 ...

54% - Definitely

19% - Somewhat

24% - Not at all

 3% - Don't know

Thought about this before I made my choice, and first just weighed it based on a gun for self defense and what the anti's will call the danger factor.  I then started thinking about all the other safety issues we make sure of because we have guns and ammo in the house.  Proper gun ownership and possetion make us safer people ... DEFINITELY!

"Change" will come through his judiciary appointees

“If you’ve got a gun in your house, I’m not taking it,’’ “Even if I want to take them away, I don’t have the votes in Congress,’’
-Obama

His radical agenda will come to pass through activist judges, and the reshaping of the constitution/bill of rights through legal precedents set by their rulings..... There will be appeals made to the Supreme Court, but once Obama has made his appointments it wont matter. Judges with lifetime appointments will dictate where our country goes, and that means the death of democracy as we know it. We have no recourse with appointed judges like we do with elected officials. As the federal courts and the Supreme court goes, so goes our country. You are about to be witness to our nation becoming a judicial dictatorship.

This is a dangerous turn for our country. It wont be felt immediately, but we have started the journey down a very slippery slope.

Only 89 guns per hundred in the US.   There's a lot of slackards out there.  That means, on the average, I'm the only one for 2 or 3 blocks who owns guns!  :-[

I always thought that USA Today had a liberal readership.  It amazes me that the voter numbers are climbing rapidly, and the vote results reflect a pro-gun stance.

I like it, but it doesn't match with what the anti's have been telling us the general public believes.

Doesn't everyone?   I thought 100 was the minimum to be senior member on this board.
