Post by: pgaona on June 17, 2007, 11:03:14 AM
Can anyone give me information on my 245? My uncle left it to me when he died, so I dont know much about it. All stainless and is # 38 of #75. What its worth, any mods, when it was made. Shot 200 rounds and no prob. Love it. Good ccw? Holster recomendations? Fixing to get my Texas CHL. No Pictures at this time.

IMHO pgaona its a great CCW and for a holster i would recommend the Galco RoyalCarry IWB. Its what I use 4 my P220 which rides/conceals/draws/reholsters perfect. The down side is cost is a bit more than the SummerCarry model with the smooth leather vs. the Swade on Royal. Had both and the Royal draws better and absolute repeatable draws. Not so with the smooth leather, even inside waist it moved and stuck with gun on some draws 5-10 per 100 draws. I kno not a bad ratio but 0% is a lot better.

Great gun! I've been carrying my P225 in a Hoffner's Minimalist...one of the best IWBs I've ever used...

Which do you use the loops or clip. I had a problem with the clip setup and dismissed the holster as the prob. even though i know it was at least 50% me. The clip always seemed to need a belt for the draw due to the trigger finger stright pressed against the paints holster. Did i say 50%? Alright maybe 51% my fault :).

Use the clip version with a Wilderness Tactical belt...draws quick...

Looks like the new Sig 250 is a replacement for the 225 and 245.
I personally like the highnoon holsters. - Tuckable is important for me.
