Check around for a class in your area.

You will need to complete the Instructor Course AND the courses you wish to teach.  I took Home Firearms Safety and Basic Pistol.  Later I took the Personal Protection In the Home and would like to get Outside and Metalic catridge Replaoding eventually.  The classes aren't hard and it doesn't take much to teach a class every once and a while to recertify.

Good for you Galeth!  I have been wanting to become an instructor with the NRA for many years, but we have such a shortage in this area it is hard to get to them.  I am an instructor with the State and help with 4-H and FFA, but would still like the NRA.  Some day I'm just going to bite the bullet and take a vacation to a place where I can take the classes (or at least that is what I say every year).

I just need to get off my butt and get the Outside the Home and Rifle/Shotgun courses.  Training Counsellor would be nice too.  I've been trying for years for the Navy to pay for the LEO course but that isn't going gto happen.

Get the cards and teach.  If more people understand the how/why we shoot the harder it will be for them to be fooled by all the BS.

Anyone who has considered it, no better time.  It is one of the most rewarding experiences I've had to be able to teach people.
