THINGS THAT SOUND DIRTY AT THANKSGIVING, BUT AREN'T...
"Talk about a huge breast!"
"Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist."
"It's Cool Whip time!"
"If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!"
"Whew, that's one terrific spread!"
"I'm in the mood for a little dark meat."
"Are you ready for seconds yet?"
"It's a little dry, do you still want to eat it?"
"Just wait your turn, you'll get some!"
"Don't play with your meat."
"Just spread the legs open & stuff it in."
"Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?"
"I didn't expect everyone to come at once!"
"You still have a little bit on your chin."
"Use a nice smooth stroke when you whip it."
"How long will it take after you stick it in?"
"You'll know it's ready when it pops up."
"Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that!"
"How many are coming?"
"That's the biggest one I've ever seen!"
"Just lay back & take it easy...I'll do the rest."
"How long do I beat it before it's ready?"

The turkeys brining, the sweet potato's are in the oven, and the vege's are out for quick assembly in the am. I don't know if Momma will have enough strength to make deviled eggs for the relish tray.
Special thanks to my doctor, as I have had chest pains since last Saturday, EKG came out clean, and I was having pains during the test. Most likely gastro or blood pressure related. Whew!!! I thought I was looking forward to stint city for the holidays. >:( ;D
TGITGVNG
Bless you all. ;D

Give thanks to God, eat Turkey, play with the kids (or grandkids), eat more turkey, spend more time with family (or friends) and give thanks to God again.
Then you can watch football. ;D

To each and everyone here, Happy Thanksgiving. While we may not agree with everyone all the time, we share a common bond. That is a love for our Country and our way of life. I pray for our families, our Country, and the troops who defend us. God bless you all and God bless America.
-
Happy thanksgiving everyone. If you are in the Area you are all welcome to my family's table today.
Haz- Remember you must put your teeth in to eat the Turkey. You can drink beer and eat mash potatoes but the turkey and ham require teeth. Just wanted to remind you. I know old people forget things time to time. LOL.
My beloved Seahawks will most likely not win today again the Cowboys, but GO HAWKS!!!!
-
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone here is where they want to be today and lets put some major damage in the overall turkey population!
-
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Just like all other holidays we need to remember what today is all about and remember how good we have it regardless of our griping.
We are really a Beef and Pork family (our daughter's phrase is "I don't do bird!"), but all the same a turkey has been killed and cooked for consumption ;D
-
:D ;D :D ;D Happy thanksgiving all and to a pig out day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My best to all......
-
Happy Thanksgiving all !!
Haz and I are already suckin' down the hazaritas and snacking on fresh bread.. mmmmmm :D

Happy Thanksgiving ! ! !
I am thankful for those brave souls which first crossed the unknown....prople searching for religious freedom and the ability to express that freedom who suffered persecution for their beliefs much as political correctness persecutes today. Then those who listened to the divine intervention which made this country possible. Then all those who have fought, died and sacrificed to keep us free.
Happy Thanksgiving to all, indeed.

Pfft. Cowboy fan since I was 5 and living in Southfield, MI. The national game was usually the 'Boys, and my other choice was the Cowardly Lions. Easy choice between flash and flab.
Know what sucks about being a life long fan not living in Texas? No one cares that you root for them when they're down, but when they're winning, the calls of 'fair weather fan' abound.
We actually exchanged our timeshare to Lake Conroe TX so we could drive 3 hrs one way to Dallas to see two home games. That was the year they went 1 and 15... lost big time to the Vikings on Sunday night, and the Bengals. But we got to talk to Landry. Made everything worthwhile. ;D

Your dating yourself Fatman....I too grew up in MI loving the Cowboys but still hold the Lions as a close second regardless of the dismall showing the last twenty years or so...I didn't watch a game today but I already know the outcomes so I just visited with family..
On a personal note, I went to high school with Gary Hogeboom and the rest of his family...He's a proud Grand Rapidian.....Played golf with his sister at our last reunion...

Cool! I lived on Rock Creek Drive, across the street from the Tigers Bill Freehan in '66-68. That was fun. Used to play catch with him and the other Tigers. Lolich, McLaine, Kaline and Northrup lived somewhere nearby. Got Freehan's autograph on a ball (he dated it, too) the day after they won the series, and he got the others to sign it for me. My brother used it to play ball 6 yrs later...
One day I woke up at 0h-Dark-Hundred to a loud metallic noise... looked out my bedroom window and saw McLaine and someone else bent over double in the street laughing hysterically. They were going fishing that day - the bumper of Freehan's wagon was dangling off the rear of the woody, still chained to a light pole.... ;D
-
Great Story...surely a little hooch was involved..... ;D
Great names, Lolich, McLaine, Orley, Northrup, Cash, Freehan, Stanley, Kaline, McAuliffe, Wert, Horton...historic years for the Tigers....
Your know your from MI if you know that Al Kaline is NOT a battery..... 8)
