XD you should not have any trouble with hardball, unless the factory recoil spring has been replaced with a lighter one. The 2 weak points are the roll pin for the rear sight, if it is an Elliason, will break especially with hardball. The collet barrel bushing can break lock up the slide. These are things that come along after a 1,000 rounds or so. You can replace the roll pin with a solid pin, don't remember the diameter. The collet bushing can be replaced with a match solid bushing as well, if your not going to shoot it a lot, these things may never show up.
