I recently acquired a Stainless Kimber 1911 chambered in .40S&W.
It has an unusual flat finish (not satin) to the stainless steel.
I am considering doing the slide up black, and am trying to choose
a finish. I have heard a lot about IonBond's DLC coating.
Has anybody here ever had a pistol finished in IonBond DLC?
Can it be applied to stainless steel?
Please give me your thoughts.
