Bad photo from my phone but it is a beauty. It's a 30 series three screw (not converted) shipped in 1969. The blue is actually black.
Bought from a member on the forum here and I just picked it up at my FFL today.
;D <--Happy Camper!!!!!

Sweet. I'm looking forward to a range report.

New ccw? ;)

I guess that's why they don't call them Bluehawks.
NICE CATCH HAZ ;)

Nice find!
Thought I smelled something a while back and was wondering.

We can't open carry here but it will work fine under a Hawaiian shirt or light vest.

Sweet! 8)
You will love the 3 screw. Maybe take a pig or two with it?
Enjoy it my friend.

One of my all-time favorites! Congrats, Hazcat...if I get ambitious, I'll get some pics of my Hamilton Bowen guns...

Haz, you old scoundrel........Very Nice gun.....(yours too, Majer).
I've been looking for an old Blackhawk for a while, but folks around here really like to hang on to them.
I have a small pile of Super Blackhawks, but I really want a .357 Blackhawk.
(wanna swap some deer steaks for it?............I thought not)
;D ;) ;D

MB, Peg,
I have been looking for about a year for one of these. Feels good in the hand and I love the sound of it being cocked.
Can't wait to shoot it.
;D (and no, much as I love venison, no trade.)
-
Sweet. Enjoy it, Haz. Keep your toe clear of the muzzle.
-
Sweet... if only I could keep up with you guys.

Haz, did you get a chance to take the three screw to the range?
-
I've had a Blackhawk before and liked it, but other than age what makes the 3 screw any better or even differant than the later models ?
-
Probably won't get to the range until after the new year.
Biggest diff is no transfer bar safety with the loading gate interlock. It acts just like an original SA. Four 'clicks' and must put hammer on second click to free spool the cylinder (like a Colt).

Ah ha!

You can get a kit to make the newer Rugers similar....but not quite the same feel.
