Title: Another Reason to Dislike Al Gore
Post by: PegLeg45 on December 10, 2008, 01:45:36 PM
As if we really needed another reason.......

A Lady Named Irena Sendler

There recently was the death of a 98-year-old lady named Irena Sendler.

http://www.irenasendler.org/faqs.asp

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.
She had an ulterior motive...
She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German).
Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she also carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids). She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.
The soldiers, of course, wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids /infants noises.
During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.
She was caught, and the Nazi's broke an arm and leg and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.
After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family. Most, of course, had been gassed.
Those kids she helped were placed into foster family homes or adopted.

Last year Irena was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize....

She LOST.

Al Gore won for doing a slide show on Global Warming.

Also another reason the Nobel is irrelevant.  Politics over substance.

I read last year that in Great Britain, they were showing Gore's film about global warming to grade school students.  Apperantly, the film is so full of inconsistant and incorrect information, the British government would not air the film without a disclaimer warning the students of the inaccuracy of the information there were about to see.

Nobel PUTZ Prize maybe!!! >:(

Al Gore’s award-winning climate change documentary was littered with nine inconvenient untruths, a judge ruled yesterday.

An Inconvenient Truth won plaudits from the environmental lobby and an Oscar from the film industry but was found wanting when it was scrutinised in the High Court in London.

UN Blowback: More Than 650 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims

Study: Half of warming due to Sun! –Sea Levels Fail to Rise? - Warming Fears in 'Dustbin of History'

POZNAN, Poland - The UN global warming conference currently underway in Poland is about to face a serious challenge from over 650 dissenting scientists from around the globe who are criticizing the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.  Set for release this week, a newly updated U.S. Senate Minority Report features the dissenting voices of over 650 international scientists, many current and former UN IPCC scientists, who have now turned against the UN. The report has added about 250 scientists (and growing) in 2008 to the over 400 scientists who spoke out in 2007. The over 650 dissenting scientists are more than 12 times the number of UN scientists (52) who authored the media hyped IPCC 2007 Summary for Policymakers.
The U.S. Senate report is the latest evidence of the growing groundswell of scientific opposition rising to challenge the UN and Gore. Scientific meetings are now being dominated by a growing number of skeptical scientists. The prestigious International Geological Congress, dubbed the geologists' equivalent of the Olympic Games, was held in Norway in August 2008 and prominently featured the voices and views of scientists skeptical of man-made global warming fears. [See Full report Here: & See: Skeptical scientists overwhelm conference: '2/3 of presenters and question-askers were hostile to, even dismissive of, the UN IPCC' ]

The British judge also ordered that if his book were to be sold in GB it had to carry a large disclaimer on the front cover saying that it contained fabrications and misrepresentations of fact.

Now he's involved in the tv ads saying that there's no such thing as clean coal technology.
Thank God we've got clean automobile technology!
At least the Chinese aren't polluting.
Save the whales.

I'm just glad that he has enough money to purchase "green tags," so his monster home, limos, SUV's and private jets don't emit any emissions  ???

This from USA Today

Public records reveal that as Gore lectures Americans on excessive consumption, he and his wife Tipper live in two properties: a 10,000-square-foot, 20-room, eight-bathroom home in Nashville, and a 4,000-square-foot home in Arlington, Va. (He also has a third home in Carthage, Tenn.) For someone rallying the planet to pursue a path of extreme personal sacrifice, Gore requires little from himself.

It's okay to have 3 houses, a yacht, and a private jet if you're a millionaire and buy carbon offsets.  ::)  But what about us mere mortals?

I think we are supposed to shutup and suck wind amd make sure we send him carbon offset money so we can have permission to heat our homes.
