-
Cartridges....
Do I win a prize?
-
.22 .
.22LR
Some Sort of a WSM
Odd Ball round
probably NATO 7.62 or (.308)
30-06
maybe 7mm Mauser (Sp)
7mm Rem Mag
50 BMG
Did I win Free Steak????
-
I know what kind of cartridges they are. Rimfire, and centerfre rifle. Do I get a prize too? ;D Kangaroo burger maybe? Haven't had those since I was in the army.
-
He's had you all. The last is an 88mm. Scale back from there, lol
-
Well Phil your game sucks I am taking my ball and goin home.
-
hahah
Ksail101
you were close
the first one on the left is a .22lr
you were correct on the last one it is a .50MBG
the 3rd and the 4th ones are the going to get interesting hehe
-
It's hard to judge the scale. The 3rd one looks too fat to be a .22 PPC so I'm guessing .22 WSSM.
The second one looks too skinny to be a .22 WMRF so my guess is that it's a .22 Extra Long RF.
-
Pretty sure the 2nd one is 22 mag.
-
I have seen the 3rd one before I just cant think of it and one of them is going to have to be for your Enfield so one is a .303 British. (I think thats what you call the .303 a "British" right?) Also I bet you own all the guns that can fire these cartridges. ;D
And you are probably right Fatman I just did a quick list by looking real quick I thought I might get a steak.
-
.22 Mag is wider at the base than .22 LR, but I can't tell if the first 2 are the same diameter or not.

Yep there is a .303 British
the 2nd one is a .22mag
the 3rd one is larger than .22 ;)
I wish I owned all of them ( i have a massive case of CBF going through the shit for a .50bmg + bit too $$$ if I could get one atm)

.243 WSSM? 6mm PPC?
-
Hazcatting a guess at #4 - some kind of Martini Henry (.577/460???) or similar from Zulu War era.

I thought it was some old-timey thing too but those were all rimmed as far as I know.

Rimmed! Curses!
-
Is #4 a 450 Whisper?
-
.500 Phantom.
that's it
it is from the only one in Australia (that I know of) , a Gunsmith here in Adelaide made it up

On the other thread I said it looked like a .458 SOCOM with a lead bullet. Close but no cigar. They were both developed by Teppo Jutsu but the .500 is for AR-10s. I wouldn't have got it without your hint.
-
So what is the official list. We have .22 mag, 243, WSSM ( I knew I saw that before, It was in a Guns and Ammo in one of the columns in the front I will try and find it and put up a link) .500 Phantom and what else.
-
The rimmed one (3rd from right) is a 7.62 x 54R The next is either the 303 or 30-06, then the BMG. The one to the right of the 'Phantom' is a 308. Not sure about the next one as the bullet looks too skinny for any 30 caliber.
-
I found this about the .500 Phantom
http://teppojutsu.com/500_Phantom.htm (http://teppojutsu.com/500_Phantom.htm)
The WSSM article I havent found yet.

If this posts twice, I'm sorry, I think #6 is a 7x57 mauser commercial round. ???

It looks like some kind of a 7mm to me too, but it's too hard to judge anything in the pic. Longer than 51mm so probably a 7x57mm. The .22 Magnum still looks too skinny at the rim. The other common calibers were a cinch.
-
.22 LR, .22 Magnum, 6mm PPC, No clue,7.62x54, 7X57, .303 Br., 30 -06 and .50 BMG
-
4th from the left is the original "Wunder Boner"?
-
.22 LR, .22 WMR, 6mm PPC, .500 Phantom (aka Wunder Boner :)), 7.62x51, 7x57, .303 British, .30-06, and .50 BMG.
Is that right?
