Title: Why Isn't This *&%$er In Prison?
Post by: 1776 Rebel on December 13, 2008, 05:05:26 PM
From an article just now on the NY Times front page. Regards Senator Chuck Schumer. If you want to read the whole article go ahead but it don't get better than this....

************************************************************************

WASHINGTON — As the financial crisis jolted the nation in September, Senator Charles E. Schumer was consumed. He traded telephone calls with bankers, then became one of the first officials to promote a Wall Street bailout. He spent hours in closed-door briefings and a weekend helping Congressional leaders nail down details of the $700 billion rescue package.

The next day, Mr. Schumer appeared at a breakfast fund-raiser in Midtown Manhattan for Senate Democrats. Addressing Henry R. Kravis, the buyout billionaire, and about 20 other finance industry executives, he warned that a bailout would be a hard sell on Capitol Hill. Then he offered some reassurance: The businessmen could count on the Democrats to help steer the nation through the financial turmoil.

“We are not going to be a bunch of crazy, anti-business liberals,” one executive said, summarizing Mr. Schumer’s remarks. “We are going to be effective, moderate advocates for sound economic policies, good responsible stewards you can trust.”

The message clearly resonated. The next week, executives at firms represented at the breakfast sent in more than $135,000 in campaign donations.

So Hot Rod is going to have Patrick Fitz on his ass and will probably go to jail. Who is going to arrest this bandito? Not all muggings happen on the  streets of NYC. Some take place in the very fancy towers of the town.

Perfectly legal.  He didn't say he wouldn't help if they didn't give.

Now that I gave you the 'party line' here's mine;

JAIL THE BASTARD!

Political corruption should be a capital offense.

NANCY PELOSI.......

FACTS:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district incl udes  San Francisco .

Star-Kist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi's home district.

Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

Star-Kist is the major employer in  American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had  American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage.  This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an 'economic development credit in American Samoa '.

Pelosi has called the Bush Administration "CORRUPT" ? ?

How do you spell "HYPOCRISY" ? ?

EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD GET THIS E-MAIL.  IT IS ENOUGH TO MAKE A HOLY PERSON ANGRY ENOUGH TO GO THROW THEM ALL OUT ON THEIR BEHINDS

I was going to reply "P-e-l-o-s-i."  However, I decided to wait another couple months to see how low the new Administration can sink in terms of proving they are the liars they have set themselves up to be.

You want to start a pool going? See how long it takes Obama to prove he's just another Chicago politician? If we get caught for illegal gambling, we'll just have to cut in the right people ;D

I have no doubts it will take no more than about 3 months before something comes up.

You're already behind I think. Let's see...Rev. Wright came out over a year ago on fox news. Then there's Tony Resco (or however you spell his name, not that it matters) and the probably that in addition to having tried cocaine, he might sold it. Oh and one more issue has come up since before he was elected...he's a democrat ;D

So this is a pipe dream. But I would love it if out of this little Hot Rod thing comes a canary. Singing all the way to the courthouse about Obama/Emanuel/Axelrod etc etc....just a dream but how sweet would that be :)

There was a time when folks llike these would simply be know as Scoundrels, dragged out from behind their desks, Tared, Feathered and sent running out of town with a boot in the pants...

With the exposure it would get on You-Tube and elsewhere, I'd bet it would be a bigger deterrent than prison time.....more entertaining for us for sure...

Anyone at Chuck Schumer's level or higher on the political pecking order can be suicided, if they don't play ball.
