Saw that some where else. Proves that barrels really do 'banana' as opposed to what Mythbusters says.

I've seen photo's like these before that were 'faked' for the photo opportunity.
I have not found out if these are the 'real McCoy' but am treating them as real (they look to be legit and they were on a legit site) due to the safety aspect.
This is something that very well could easily happen to anyone letting their guard down.
Be safe my friends.

My biggest problem with the guys that try to prove or disprove something is that if that can't do it it must be a myth (in their expert opinion). Then people believe them. I'm still not pleased with the "lab coat guys," but at least they hammer the point that just because they couldn't get a failure doesn't mean it won't happen. The goofy Holywood guys just claim they are smarter than everything that has happened over the years.
Somewhere, may have been on one of these threads, I saw a video of a hunter "banana peel" a hunting rifle while taking a shot. Send that to Discovery and see what the dudes say.

That's the worst case of banana peel I've ever seen on a rifle. BTW I watch MythBusters all the time and never saw them say a rifle couldn't do that. I probably missed a few shows before I got cable but would love to see that one. I saw the video of the guy hunting elk or deer or whatever and his rifle did that. They had a shotgun barrel at Williams Gun Sight like that too.

I've seen a bunch of pics like that...I've also seen 1st hand ( the gun itself) what happens when you do a 12 over 20... it does that, but from the other end of the barrel.
