A friend asked me this and after I answered I remembered seeing this before. I'll explain more later...
A woman is at a family funeral and sees a gorgeous man that she has never met before. They get chatting and everything is going well. At the end of the wake the man leaves and they do not exchange phone numbers.
The woman kills her sister a few days later. Why?.
-
Does anyone really know why women do the things they do?

The guy that does will be rich beyond his wildest dreams... that or have a crushed pelvis... both sound good to me.

There are two theories on how to predict what a woman will do.
Neither one works

Ok...an answer to the original question.
Since the woman has never met the Gorgeous Man, he is not a "known" member of the family nor is he married or involved with any family member.
Since they did not exchange phone numbers, it can be assumed the woman had no continuing interest in the man.
The man, however, must have an interest in the deceased and that would be what the woman would have naturally found out.
This information would be what caused the woman to kill her sister.
This could be ...the man is at the funeral because the deceased is his father. The deceased is also the husband of the woman. Further, the man identified the sister as his mother.
Since the woman did not know the man, it is assumed that he was not the child of the husband and the sister from an acceptable relationship prior to the woman and the husband's marriage.
Therefore, the man is the result of an affair between the husband and the sister, the motive for the killing.

You're so wrong, but that's good. Had you answered the question 'correctly', you would be in the company of psychopaths. This question was asked of the worst of the worst in prison, and almost all unflinchingly answered 'the woman wanted to see the man again.' The logic behind this is he showed for one family member's funeral, he might for another. The fact that she would need to kill a family member for this is at both obvious and just a means to an end for the psychopath. No regard for the value of life, just do what ever you want to get what you need.
Normal people don't have this twisted thought pattern.
My response was 'I have no clue. She's certifiable.' Turns out I was more correct than I bargained for. ;D

Now I understand but... WOW, is she screwed up! Worse than me, as it turns out. ;D

Here I thought it was a "Brain Teaser" type of problem.
And I woke up at 2:00 AM last night thinking of holes in my theory....
Well, not only does it give a shocking (to decent folks) view of the workings of the criminal mind, it starkly demonstrates the mind set we will be up against in a self defense situation.
I have read alot about "mind set" but this insight shaves away that last shard of concern that "they" don't intend harm...just want stuff.
It also puts a spotlight on the difficulties and realities rehabilitationists need to face.
There was a guy in the neighborhood I hung with during high school. He was light hearted, care free, joking all the time.
I had heard that he was now completely the opposite. Bitter seeming, hard, not a bit of cheer in him.
I met him again at a class reunion and found that the change was true. I had known that he had become a detective for the local police force and attributed the change to his line of work.
I now can see how it would be worse than I imagined. Dealing with and understanding the motivations shown above day in and day out would drain the warmth out of anyone.

I remembered after getting this question and hearing the answer it (or one very much like it) was in my criminal, abnormal psych class or a publication I read.
Newer research shows pyschos have a tendency to sweat significantly less when compared to what is regionally normal. They also have very little fear in situations where you and I would. Remember, 'lack of fear' and 'courage' are not the same thing. It's normal to be afraid. It's what you do despite that that defines courage.

I have took a death investigations class recently, we reviewed actual cases. If most people new the facts and saw all the pics of these crimes I don't think any of them would want ever leave the house. there are some very, very sick people out there.

Yeah, and f the pictures and such were released after the trial and actually presented to the public... the kumbayas would choose not to look and still yak about how cruel the death penalty is. Such is the world we live in.
