Carolyn McCarthy is at it again. She has introduced renewing legislation for an "Assault Weapons Ban." By whatever definition she cares to use, it means bad things for us. Those with short memories may not immediately recall an awful day on the New York railway system a decade+ ago. That day a man with a gun shot and killed people. One of whom was the now Rep. McCarthy's husband. With all due respect to her grief, nothing she has ever proposed would have changed that day.

I think she introduces that bill every year.  It has never gotten any place, but I fear that the take over of congress by the dems and the degenerate liberalization of the Republican party moves us closer to the day.

Patrick is right, activisim and being a loud minority is the only thing between us and these ignorant lilly livered politicians doing it to us again.
