It's so new Gamo doesn't have it on their web site.   I know I read about it in some of the SHOT show reports, but I can't find any details.  Do you have  any URLs that have detail information?

I appreciate what Gamo has been doing marketing-wise and the renewed interest they generated in air guns.  They're rejuvenating interest in the 21st century like Beeman did in the 20th.  However, I think a wiser buy in a springer, might be an Air Arms, a Webley or  Weirhauch.

My personal beast is an HW77 in .22 with a 5-15x40 Bushnell Legend.  Goes clean through squirrels at 20yds.

Its harder to make a good air rilfe then it is to make a real rifle.

Their marketing department gears their ads towards fps numbers. What they don't tell you is that those numbers are achieved using their own very light wieght and inaccurate ammo. You generally don't want your pellets going supersonic. This is what destroys the accuracy and makes too much noise.

I have a Beeman Crow Magnum (same thing as Theoben Eliminator) that will blow this thing out of the water. All of my PCP air rifles will as well, especailly if I used their PBA ammo.

If you want a good quality made rifle, I would take a look at the Benjamin/Crossman Discovery, Air Force Talon or Condor, or any Beeman import (Falcon, Wierauch etc.). Of course, the quality rifles cost more than the Gamos.

That said, this one does look interesting. I would like to see some shot strings where they used some quality pellets like Beeman Kodiaks, Crosman Premiers or JSB Exacts.

For a list of some quality air rifles, check out straightshooters.com or Pamona Airguns. For reviews and questions, check out this most knowledgable airgun forum:

m25 has more junk than I have...scary!

I have a Gamo Whisper, which I like. I prefer the "old style" pellets because the ultralights definitely crack, which sort of defeats the "whisper" thing. Otherwise, it's sweet!

Michael was talking about the PSE TAC BOW, and brings up a project that I have not started on yet, and that is take my Talon SS, and make a new barrel for it, the object is to make an air bow, to shoot full length 8mm hunting arrows. I would make the outer diameter of the barrel just under 8mm, then take an arrow with no nock installed, and slide it over the barrel. Someone made these based on AR15 lowers, years ago, and supposedly will launch a full size arrow and broadhead at 500 fps!!!! And that was with co2, co2 is about 1,000 psi, my talon is 3,000 psi.

You can see one of these used in the move HARD TARGET, with Jean Claude Van Damm

You could buy an Airrow Stealth that's made to shoot arrows instead of converting your Talon SS. http://www.swivelmachine.com/html/stealth.htm

The Beast is $100 more than the RWS I want, so that makes me want the RWS even more.
