Title: The Caracal Pistol
Post by: Dakotaranger on July 12, 2007, 12:54:52 AM
It looks like it would be a great pistol.  I wonder if the slide would throw the balance off a bit.  The grip looks like it is similar to an XD and the color inserts would be nice to customize it.

How much is it going to run.

after watching the video......I am going to be close-minded and not like the pistol right off the bat. It is going to have to be free for me to own one. But thats just my pride talking.

I'm all for being close minded because I've never met a Glock I've liked...other than the Glock sponsership in NASCAR and the fact that they back the 2nd Amendment.

The two things I liked about it's looks were the insert on the grip and the grip angle (tired of all combat tuperware looking the same) and it would be more conducive to my hands than a Glock.

Dakotaranger you should try one of the new M&P from Smith-n-Wesson or even the XD's fromj Springfield. Those are two that would change your mind about

If you can control that trigger correctly it will be hard to be with an out-of-the box 1911 and most revolvers. But that just an opinion man.

I've got a couple of XD's.  I'm more curious than anything else right now.

You should like the low barrel axis as seen here when compared to the XD you know.
Try a Steyr M9 and you will have an idea of the ergonomy of its desert cousin, the Caracal. Same designer.
