I just got a new H&K USP Elite 9mm. It shoots really great, though the feel of that long slide cycling takes a little getting used to.
My complaint is that the brass almost always (probably 4 out of 5 time) ejects straight into my face. It's really annoying and it's giving me a flinch, not from the recoil, but from the brass hitting me somewhere between the forehead, the cheek, and the nose.
Does anyone have a solution for such a thing?

I had a S&W auto that did the same thing. I took it to a smith and he replaced the extractor, and it fixed the problem. Hope this helps.

Goggles?
Face Shield? ? ? ;D
Seriously, what Cookie said, should even be under some form of warranty I would think.

Extractor, ejector relationship and ammo, my Glock 21 with factory loads, has no problem, but with my lighter bullet, lighter powder charge reloads, will dance them on my hat while shooting, a half a grain increase leaves the empties at my right foot. Try some different ammo 1st, and if that does not help, send it back.

I'll have to try some different ammo and see if that helps.
I spoke to the armorer at the shop where I bought it, and he thought it was a break-in issue that would diminish over time. I also emailed H&K to see if they have any ideas.
In the mean time, I might go pick up a paintball face mask....

I may have to try the gunsmith route. I've tried 9 different variations of 9mm ammo in it, and they all do the same thing.
Does anyone have a good one near Philadelphia that they like? (I know I could Google them all, but I'm looking to see if anyone has firsthand experience with one).

DO NOT take this gun to a gunsmith. HK warrenties their guns and will fix it.

I called H&K multiple times, got voicemail each time, left multiple messages, got no reply.
I emailed H&K multiple times, no reply.
I asked my dealer to contact H&K, they could not get anyone to talk to them about the issue.
Annoyed, I finally traded it in as a down payment for a Springfield TRP 1911.
I still have two other H&Ks that I love dearly (USP Compact 9mm and USP 45), but that one really ticked me off.

Do a search for H&K authorized warranty gunsmiths and talk to them directly instead of talking to H&K. I just did that with my S&W and am very happy with the results and it was all free because it was under warranty.
