With that recommendation I'll watch for it ...

Had planned on watching, but with working all Saturday night and no sleep, then working last evening, I sat down in the big chair just in time to fall asleep during the opening.  Not too disappointed though, because I slept all night.

I don't think it is a weekly show, just a 1-off, a follow-up to their previous Extreme Marksman show.Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings . . . .

I did like the inclusion of the M1A1 Abrams as an "expert marksman". I actually chuckled at first - after all, with the explosive power of their ordnance anyone can be an "expert" marksman! Then they showed the tank hitting (not exploding) a plywood target at almost 2 clicks - with a rookie just out of the simulator crew. Not too shabby.

And the bullwhip segment was cool - I found myself thinking - "I need to get one of those!!!"   ;D

Being someone who is playing DRTV with only half a deck (in more ways than one) because I can't get the Outdoor Channel, I love shows like that. Not real practical, but it's just nice to see people throwing rounds.

I enjoyed the show, but don't know about the whip stuff.

I will say that a lot of the stuff they show, such as splitting the bullet to hit two targets, cutting a playing card in half, shooting backwards with a mirror,  long pistol shots, is all stuff I have done.

Maybe that means I have a more exciting shooting "career" than most folks!

The M1A1, with an experienced crew can hit a silver dollar at two clicks at about 40 mph...at least thats the way General Dynamics designed the fire control systems....

Never tried splitting a bullet to hit 2 targets, but I have tried the shooting over my shoulder with a mirror. I used a .22 semi auto rifle. (Note to readers, shoot over the LEFT shoulder, unless you like getting cases fed into your ear.  ;D  )

Grizzle Bear,
Was that you making an appearance on 'Cowboys' last Wednesday when they were at NCOWS? I think it was an older episode.

When a 2 foot long dart made of depleted uranium hits at OVER 1 MILE PER SECOND it doesn't need any explosives to do the job.  8)

I believe I am in that episode, but you only see me from behind, shooting two revolvers and making lots of smoke!

I can't believe the knife throwing stunt.  You don't see any of the gun guys shooting something that close to their assistant.

One of my army buddys said he and his friend held quarters between their index finger and thumb and shot them out of each others hands. Personally I don't like having guns pointed in my direction but it would be a good stunt.

I'll stick with shooting over my LEFT shoulder with a mirror thank you. although one of these days I'm going to try splitting a playing card. I understand that splitting the bullet to hit 2 targets is best done with Black powder arms.

I've actually done that with a 45 acp at 7 yards several times (not lately). Next time I go to the range I'll try it again and try to get video or good pics.
I also cut a string that was stretched between two fence posts with a .223 (using, of all rifles, a Ruger Mini-14....imagine that).
That's about it for my extreme marksmanship skills.
I did hit a penny that I threw into the air at hunting camp once (with plenty of witnesses) with my old Buckmark .22........
but that was just blind damn luck. Did it on the first try and then put the gun up before they could ask me to do it again. I know a luck shot when I see it.

I want to try the trick Bill Oglesby did by trying to hit two different targets with a SA revolver in each hand at a wide angle apart.

Hi. I am the guy in the video where the tank simulators are.  I also run the range that was in this segment.  Wish they could capture the blast of the main gun when it goes off.  Make you jump.   :)

Takes getting used to.  Even then you have to be facing the tank,,,if you have your back to it you will jump.
