I was just looking about and saw this site
it has a how to on Mil-Dot scopes

One of the things I like about Mil-Dot is you can use as much or a little of the features you want. You don't have to do all the math.
I spent enough time at the range to know which dot to use for which range and angle. I then record that info and tape it to my rifle on a laminated card.
