Okay, it's a little local show. A 30 minute children's contemporary worship service.

We just put number 100 in the can Sunday.
Now where is that syndication thing? Don't I wish.

Congrats, Alf!
Is it just me or does that cake look like it's smiling at us?
-
Congratulations!!!
I know people involved with production and understand that no matter how small that is no small task.
-
Congrats on the milestone.
Ever consider DVD's in church book stores?
Hope the cake was as good as it looks.

I know you've mentioned it before, but what all do you do in the show. For some reason I remember puppets and voices, but I'm really hoping you were they guy in the highlights getting creamed and floured and generally abused ;D
-
Congratulations sir...
-
Congratulations, Alf that's a real milestone!
The syndication though is another matter. I think all those guys are holed up in a resort somewhere sharing lobsters with the big music A&R guys that will make your music go platinum. There is so much valuable work that never sees the major stage, it's amazing. Keep plugging.

The guy in the red jump suit is Russell the Race Car Guy and yes he throws flour, confetti and water. (Try explaining to some high-brow parent why their kid comes our of church wet!)
I am part of the creative team, I help with the idea, occasionally write one of the scripts, but my specific duty is Technical Director for the live show and Chief Engineer for the "TV" production. I do make a once a year appearance as "Construction Charlie". If the following link works, you can see me helping "The Professor". I make his experiments work, he's just the "front man".

(After viewing this video you can browse behind-the-scene pictures of the show.)
And yes, we're creating "curriculum" to make available to other churches. It'll take us till next fall though to build up an inventory of shows before we go to market.
Now back to putting together number 101.

Nice work, Alf.....was that you that 'screamed like a girl' when the drum imploded? ;D ;D ;D ;D

Good for you. I hope you have several hundred more. ;D

40 gallon drums are expensive so this was a done in one take. We had 3 cameras trained on that drum and our entire department was out there watching. Those screams were real from real girls, our chief writer and our production coordinator. Took everybody by surprise how sudden and loud it was. If you really want to see this experiment taken to another level, there's a video on on You Tube where they used an old railroad tank car.

Did that to a honey wagon one day when the hose plugged. Right after I changed my shorts (I was leaning against it when it went) I called the banker and the dealer ... had a new one the next morning.
-
I take it not ALL the crap was IN your shorts ;D
That's a BAD day ;D "Honey, I shrunk the kids" has nothing on "Honey, I blew up the sh!t wagon"
ROFLMAO ;D

One of those situations where he DID IT FIRST AND SAID IT SECOND. ;D

CONGRATULATIONS!!
There is so much work in front and behind the camera to get ready and produce something like this..
More than anyone realizes until you have been in the middle of it..
That is awesome. I went in and looked at ALL your pictures and I have to confess the ones that are my favorite is of that precious angel Pamela....
What a blessing she is to you Alf.. and that is coming from an old Grandma who knows what I am talking about.
Thanks for allowing us a peek into your life..
I hope you have another 100 successful shows..
