Got the latest email from Sarah, and boy is she upset.
See Brady filed a lawsuit against the Dept of Interior over the CCW in national parks issue. WELL, the NRA evidently has filed some papers this week in support of the DOI and it has Sarah fuming.
She said: NRA ATTACKS BRADY MEMBERS IN NEW COURT PAPERS
And the bone of contention are:
In the court papers filed this week, the NRA says they:
* deny that the Brady Campaign is a grassroots membership organization or that it is involved in fighting to prevent gun violence;
* deny that the Brady Campaign is dedicated to safety;
* deny that the members of the Brady Campaign, if any, will face an increased risk because of the new regulation.
GO NRA.
You won't find this on the Brady home page, nor can I find info on the NRA-ILA page, but then it's fairly recent. The Brady bunch doesn't give you outside URLs, but only internal ones. So, I'm anxious for the NRA to get more info on-line, I'd love to know what they said.

Sweet! I would say that the NRA has hit the nail on the head..... it makes a nice statement, but not sure if it really helps their case any.

I've been there. You can try. It's the District Court of D of C. They don't keep current case filings on line.

Actually, since the decision was a "rule", made by the Dept of Interior, under pressure from Bush. As soon as Obama's appointee gets ensconced the "rule" will be reversed and the lawsuit will be dropped.
All just for show.....even on Bush's part.
BUT it is cute how Ms Sarah got so upset, though I think it's most put-on for fund raising purposes.

I really don't like him. If he got in a car accident would he ban automobiles? What a moron.

I've never seen anything that said the Brady was anti-gun before he got shot. Remember, he was Reagan's Press Secretary.

I don't think that he was anti-gun prior, but this shows his opinion can be swayed by anything. I got hit by a car and my leg broken in 23 places. It didn't make me anti-car. If it had, I would just be easily swayed. It did on the other hand make me hate people who don't have insurance...see, the scumbag is to blame, not the device.

I'm glad to hear the NRA is doing something. I just wish they would do a better job at communicating what they are doing because its like they've been invisiible since the election. I was most recently disturbed by their silence on the Holder nomination. I'm sure there is a lot of back room hand wrestling going on, but I get more advertisements for NRA wine than I do reports on the political front.
I applaud the NRA for this move against the Brady Campaign. More public info must be made available to let people know what liars and phonies they really are, not to mention they don't represent anyones interests but their own.

Opinions can change. Usually this happens over time. I wouldn't call getting shot 'anything'. So, are you saying that being shot isn't a good reason to fear guns?
I've heard of the opposite being true too (e.g. anti-gun people being the victom of a crime and becoming pro-gun).

I don't think HE is anti gun NOW, I think she just drags him around as a prop to generate sympathy. I think she should leave the poor guy home and look in a dictionary if she wants sympathy, it's easy to find. Right between Shit and Syphilis.

+1 I think she might be under the influence of late-term Syphillis and that would explain the shit she's pushing. Also, it's a SOP for libs to find victims of tragedies and then expoit them for political game, like Virginia Tech.

IIRC brady was shot( among others) with a 22 snubby made by rossi( might be another make, but I know it was 22 snubby) so why the hell isn't the brady bunch going after small guns... you know the ones that are used most in crime...
