Lawmakers are drafting bills — one to authorize the ability to carry a gun on campus and another to allow licensed handgun owners to openly carry their weapons — that likely will be the most hotly debated among several pieces of gun-related legislation to be considered this session.

Last I checked Texas had nearly 40,000 signatures on the http://www.opencarry.org website.  Glad this stuff is making it to Austin for consideration.  Hopefully we can get it passed in Florida

We'll see, I hope I have the choice to openly carry in Texas, I'd probably continue to carry concealed.  But if I ever get a 1911 it'll make it alot easier to carrier.  And a right you don't have is a right you've lost.  And its Texas for God's sake people come hear and expect to see guns, cowboys and trucks.  I signed the petition, and I educated friends and family about it, and most signed it too.

Good man. Wars are won one battle at a time, and this IS a war. The "Cold War" effort by world Communism to destroy "Free America" has simply moved from the Berlin wall to our legislatures. Why else would one worlder George Soros spend so much money on the UN anti gun crusade, or to finance Australian, Rebbeca Peters anti gun activities.
If we lose the 2A it's all over as we will have lost the means to resist.

Why does anyone need a license to do something that is a God given right?

We need to work on that. But we need to Stop the current encroachment before we can roll back past ones.
What other God given Civil Liberty requires individual FBI approval ? Has any one consider that by instigating the Spanish American War, the  1st Amendment killed more people than all the gun related crimes of the 20th century ?

I agree, the enemy is incrementally whittling away our rights, and we need to incrementally take them back, but never in the process forget what the goal is.

Repeal GCA 68 and NFA. I'm willing to "compromise" though, they can continue to regulate any MODERN arms with a bore over 1.25 inches.

Damn the JUDGES who let them and then give minimal sentences when they DO get convicted.

Just remember that the liberals have taken God out of the schools and are trying to take God out of our communities and Government, Once they do that what happens to our "God given Rights" ?

We have to kill to keep them, but then we get God back into America. (Free America anyways, the parts we can't take back are still screwed)
