Following are links to bill H.R. 45, Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009."  and an example letter you can use for writing your senators and congressman.  H.R. 45 is summarized as:
 
To provide for the implementation of a system of licensing for purchasers of certain firearms and for a record of sale system for those firearms,and for other purposes. 
 
Be sure to read the bill as you'll find it covers very common guns owned by all of us.

It never ends. A lot of the bill reminds me of what we have to do now in CA, only worse.
