Gun control legislation -- sponsored in part by Hoboken's own Assemblyman Ruben Ramos -- was signed into law yesterday by NJ governor Jon Corzine.
The new law imposes more jail time and a significantly increased fine for those caught possessing an unlicensed machine gun or assault firearm in New Jersey. The law raises the penalty from third-degree to second-degree crime for anyone carrying an unlicensed gun.

Except that the legislator's quote stated that they were guns that were "Likely to be used in crimes". That would REALLY be about 95% handguns and that doesn't seem to be addressed in the law.
They're going to save a bunch of kids from possible gun violence by locking them up in state prisons where they'll experience a different kind of "violence". Why do I suspect the motive here?

So why, exactly, is it that you live in NJ?

Well, beside the fact that it was a really good place to raise the kids, living two blocks from the beach, now we're just winding up getting the last of the kids out of the house, but can't sell our property right now. I just got a new day job that's sweet. I could eventually relocate and open a satellite office, but not just yet. And I've got the aged mother-in -law that we're taking care of.
There will come a day however, when everything goes in a sack, a safe, a lockbox, or the back of a trailer, and we're going somewhere where we can carry, shoot dinner off the back porch, and grow some nice hot peppers.
Something like that, anyway.
OR maybe we'll just visit everyone we've met on DRTV Forum.
