Yep, these are the guys that are ready for us to leave, because we aren't needed anymore.

+1

Maybe our illustrious Pres. will let the United Nations handle it.... they have such a good track record with handling these things...

Don't get so wrapped up in this video to miss the real problem ... The new President has set a timeline, so everyone knows how long they need to tread water before everything we have accomplished is laid to waste  >:(

If I was that absolute jerk's commanding officer I would wash his mouth out with a bar of soap and make him eat the rest of it, and then I would shove another one uptight were the sun doesn't shine. One doesn't go to another country and verbally abuse, and humiliate the people of that country. What an ugly American he is, refuse like that make me ashamed to be an American.

When was the video made?  Time lines determine a lot.

You don't have a clue what your talking about. You weren't there and it's pretty obvious that all you know about it is what you got off MSM. You also know nothing about either training troops or leadership.

By the way, He WAS the  Commanding Officer.
What would you do ? Offer them candy bars to quit being gutless ?

Gee I didn't know this guy was the president of the United States I thought he had an officer he had to answer to, thank you for setting me straight. Here is one way to fix the problem, don't disband the police force in the first place, duh! and then try to remake it, no need to re-invent the wheel. You say I don't know what I am talking about and make the assertion that I must get my knowledge from the main stream media, but you provide no evidence to back it up. Is it possible your allegation is a fabrication?

The original force was disbanded due to the intense politicization of the PDs in Iraq - all Saddam's boys and NOT to be trusted.

Maybe these will help you understand Tom's point a bit more . . .

I see we have done a dandy job of replacing them.

Yes, there were problems.  The operative word in the last sentance was were.  The time that the videos were made is key.  I would also like to point out that Rome was not built in a day.  Further, there are people, here in these United States, that work as LEO's that aren't much better.  I would refer you to the video where the New Orleans cops were looting, I mean looking through a store after Bush created Katrina and aimed it at that fine city.

In that case the video is a moot point, and therefore there was no reason to post it, just old outdated news.

I'm currently reading "The Strongest Tribe" by Bing West. It appears that the main problem is that the Maliki Govt. being made up of Shiites, will not accept Sunni's in the Police, therefore the police are heavily infiltrated by the Shiite militia Jaish al Mahdi. That is what the US officer is referring to.
What the situation is now I don't know, but basically our war is over, , we are just trying to support the Iraqi's until their own Govt. quits cutting up the spoils and starts supporting the Army and HONEST Police.
Most likely after we leave the Shiites will attempt to wipe out the Sunni's. But the Sunni's are organized now, the same tribes who broke the back of Al Queda in Iraq will stand up to oppression by the Shiites.
Runstowin, You need to understand that profanity is a tool  used to convey a lack of respect. Listen to what he is saying, they are not just "cowards" they are "f&%$ing cowards"  "women" "dogs". If they want to be treated with respect, treated like "men" they have to act like it. They have to earn that respect.
