These are the People representing us? Signing over a TRILLION DOLLARS in a bill written by staffers and not even spending the time to read it. Just so they could give their Annointed One a Valentine!
The arrogance surrounding the signing on Monday will be thick enough to cut with a knife!

I agree 110% and at the same time saddened that WE Americans allowed our elected officials get this far out of wack. If I'm not mistaken our illustrious Speaker of the House queen Nancy Pelosi will not let the 1k page plus released for "WE THE PEOPLE" to read it ??? There's something in there they don't want us to know, we would probably riot if we knew. Why do "We" let them get away with it ??? ??? ???

This was even against the "House" rules which says there's a 48 hour "waiting period" to allow all Reps a chance to read any bills. Of course, the "House" waived the rule for this bill. Even then it would be an impossibility for one person to read the whole thing in that time frame.

Sheep are stupid animals. Sheep don't learn too easily. Sheep have only 2 speeds - grazing and stampede.
Where does that leave the sheepdogs? Mostly wondering why bother?

We keep sheep on our pasture for friends most of the summer, and over the last fifteen years I have learned a few things:
1. Sheep are followers with limited leaders;
2. Sheep can be gotten to follow any leader that says or does what they are looking for (rattle an empty bucket and they think they are getting fed ... look out they don't run you over, or pull up with the trailer and they think they are going to fresh pasture and stampede in for the trip);
3. Sheep are afraid of running water unless you work hard to train them - They will drink from the same old stale puddle for weeks, but keep a hose trickling into a stock tank with good water and they would rather die of thirst than drink);
4. Sheep will blindly follow the shepherd. The way to become their shepherd is to pamper and care for them for a day or two, and after that you can abuse them endlessly and they will keep following and begging for more;
5. Once sheep find a leader in their flock they will follow it until it is removed. Even if you can change the leader's behavior the rest of the flock will continue to follow them. And, the leader is typically the dumbest and most dangerous in the group. The biggest problem we have is ewes that will jump a four foot fence and the rest follow ... I have been instructed to keep a rifle with me while sitting on the deck and drop the first one over the fence. Sounds drastic, but if I do it in April we keep the ewes in all summer, and if I don't we fight them till winter barn time comes;
6. I have touched on this but more directly, sheep are easily deceived. A wild dog (or pack) or coyotes can slowly and calmly walk into the flock without trouble and then wildly feed.
This is just a short list, but I hope Shepherd ... er ... I mean President Obama enjoys deceiving his flock and leading us all astray >:(

This is apt a place as any, without starting a new thread, to have a re-cap of the ongoing festivities since the inauguration:
Interesting observation, but who's counting???
Hey, this is like a new reality TV show, and it's only been less than 30 days since the swearing in ceremony.
Let's Recap--
1. The American people elect a black (prefers to be called African American) president, with a total of 42 days experience as a US Senator, from the most politically corrupt state in America whose governor is ousted from office. The President's first official act is to close Gitmo and make sure terrorists civil rights are not violated. (Where are they going??)
2. The U.S. Congress rushes to confirm a black Attorney General, Eric Holder, whose law firm we later find out represents seventeen Gitmo Terrorists. He was also responsible for getting Pres Clinton to "pardon" Mark Rich (one the FBI ten most wanted fugitives) and a gang of terrorist who also committed murder.
3. The CIA Boss, Leon Penetta with absolutely no experience, has a daughter Linda we find out, that is a true radical anti-American activist who is a supporter of all the Anti-American regimes in the western hemisphere.
4. We got the most corrupt female in America history as Secretary of State, bought and paid for. Her husband, President Bill Clinton, agreed with Obama's transition team demands for cooperation and clarity of his income and international transactions, and then the transition team was disbanded.
5. We got a Tax Cheat for Treasury Secretary who files his own taxes, and doesn't pay what he knows he owes.
6. A Commerce Secretary nominee who withdrew due to corruption charges.
7. A Tax cheat nominee for Chief Performance Officer who withdrew under charges.
8. A Labor Secretary nominee who withdrew under charges of unethical conduct.
9. A Secretary HHS nominee who withdrew under charges of cheating on his taxes.
And that's just the first two weeks. . . but who's counting.
America is being run by the modern-day Three Stooges ~ Barrack, Nancy, and Harry ~ and they are still trying to define stimulus. (really another form of affirmative action)
Waiting to see now how decisions made by a democratic congress, democratic president, and a 4 to 5 liberal supreme court are going to manage to blame their mess on George W. Bush.
Lets keep track and see if the spending in the next four years exceeds three or four Trillion Dollars.
You'll know when it happens by the current rate of interest and value of our dollar.
