Ok, it appears that I have won an auction for an AR-10 when I least expected it. Yay for me..
Anyway, I know it is just an upsize AR type platform/action. Anything peculiar I should know about it? How about an idea of spare parts that usually break on it so I can get some spares?
I will have more questions later I am sure of it. My head is still spinning...

the AR-10 was first then adapted to the .223 in final form. The only thing I would suggest is the gas tube. A lot of junk ammo from bulkpack stuff clogs that little tube. The MOST important spare part IMHO.............M A G S ! ;D Get pleanty

Mags.. hmmm.. $50 a pop.. Reminds me of the M1A mags during the ban.. I will have to acquire them slowly.
I guess on a positive note, and one that I had not thought of, is that the manual at arms is essentially the same between the AR-15 and the AR10. For me that means that I **may** acutally be able to get down to one platform.. yeah right.. :)
Well at least the hunting loads that I worked up for my FAL should work out ok, but I will have to try it out.
