Title: Handgun Registration
Post by: graywolf on February 24, 2009, 07:08:26 PM: Maybe this handgun registration is a great idea. Maybe it's like those events like the police department does to nab people with outstanding warrants. You know, they send out letters that you are eligible to receive Super Bowl tickets, but you must come to the VFW Hall on a given day. The unsuspecting suspects show up in a big party mood and...bang. They're told they are all under arrest! I am sure this is the intention of this legislation. All of us law abiding citizens show up to register our handguns as well as the criminals and the hammer drops so to speak, and they arrest all the bad guys. These legislators like Bobby Rush of IL who are proposing this don't care about the Second Amendment even though he said on Lou Dobb's program tonight that it was not his intention to take away anyone's rights. Yeah, right!

Are they going to Incarcerate millions of legal gunowners, the prisons are already overflowing. I think we ought to get a refuse to register campaign going should it happen 8)

To whom do you refer? The politicians who would require registration, or the citizens who would refuse to comply?
