I know, it's British, but it was paid for and a blast to ride, right up until the accident!

Sold this one last spring cuz the knees are far enough gone that I couldn't trust them when Mrs. T and I were riding together, and couldn't afford the $12,000.00 to have it triked.    :'(

It used to REALLY piss off the wife when I reminded her that my bike had a bigger engine than her car.   lol

This is just a stock picture. Mine has a lot of accesories on it. I need to buy a new camera so I can show off the real thing.

I promise pictures soon.  Wife's is in the shed (behind two planters, two tractors, a stacker and a baler) and mine went into the shop yesterday for a little work I didn't get to over the winter.  Was really getting excited to ride until I looked at the radar this morning  :'(

JK Rob...

I find I really like repairing old beater jeeps, I've bought and sold 3 XJ's (New Cherokee's) and have kept #4 as my daily driver, and ran across this 77' J-20 Jeep pick up that was "just too good to pass up"  I hope to have it road worthy by mid summer 2009.

Here's my two wheel buddy - Honda XR650L

Here in Idaho, for every 1 mile of paved roads, we have ~6 miles of dirt/un-managed roads.  Jeeps and dual sport bikes are the rule.

I get no cred for the custom skeleton & pistols paint.... I get crap for the fringe!  ::)

That was 1997.....I went through a fringe phase.... I had a little mullet action back in the late-'80's also, if you're keeping track. I even had an earring at one point!   ;D

Here are the trucks:

I got to get digital picks of some of my past rides.

No snaps of my old bike, a little (Suzuki 350) rice burner. But damn, it was fun - 2-stroke, hauled out like little else.

Gave it up when I got cut off by some brainless female, and I found myself off the bike, taking my helmet off walking back to her car with every intent to use my helmet to smash the crap out of her windshield. I had a wee anger management problem in those days.

And my ATV was a working ranch ATV, had an old milk crate tied to the front for hauling fence gear. Arctic Cat 300 - very good hard worker, ended up towing a 10-blade disc through the tree rows, trailers of hay, and other things. The 3-way tow hitch is barely visible behind the sprayer hoses. Left it with the ranch.  :(

Enjoy the sleds.

My first car was a 1969 Toyota Corona MK II. I bought it in 1985 and rebuilt the motor. When I was done with it, it had 11:1 compression and it would only run right on 93 octane gas. The funny thing about it was I tagged in high school as having the "James Bond mobile" ala "You Only Live Twice". But my love affair with this car ended in 1986 when a drunk driver hit it while it was parked (legally) in front of my house.....But life went on.....

You and I have to trade thoughts!  Back in the mid 70's I had a Series 1 Chevy LUV and a 65 Chev Biscane (I know I spelled it wrong) ... Wouldn't you know that that 262 (small block precurser to the 283) fit in that LUV.  That kept improving until the final version was a stroked 400 small block (just over 370 ci), cross ram with dual quadra jets, and a highly modified Turbo 400.

That truck went by the wayside on April night (early morning) in 1977, on the California/Arizona border when I pushed it a little too hard.  Just after the large bang the shifter boot melted and flames came into the cab.  I hit the desert sand along side the interstate and bailed as it went POOF!

I'm not saying that is was the quickest thing on Phoenix's Central Avenue, but I never came across someone that could beat me the winter I was there.  And, with the quick change rearends I couldl really fly across the dessert in the middle of the night when I went home.

I wish. Like I've said before, a 2 and 3 year old take up most of my time these days, it's hard to escape like that.

Nice bike, Junkie.

Thanks.

I guess I was reeling from the '69 Corona picture that FullAuto had just posted right above it and plain missed it...that and Pathfinder's ATV photo had me distracted.
  ;)

You need to post a bigger photo...it is a nice bike.

Talk about resurrecting an old thread.....didn't want to start another one.....

I just found a few old pics of my old bike on a disc that I didn't know I had.

This was about 3 months before the crash...

VERY nice, Walker, except I'd need a 5 gallon can of Crisco to lube my fat ass up enough to fit in that XJ, I'm afraid.   ;D
