House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tossed cold water on the prospect of reinstating the assault weapons ban, highlighting Democrats’ reluctance to take on gun issues.

And this one, I can guarantee you they may have bought the gun here, but I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the druggie thugs did a Class III conversion on their own. But the gringos will get blamed. Sorry, we already have been blamed.

I'm not even willing to concede that any of the Mexican full auto's were bought in the US. Central America is awash in full auto AK's from Cuba and the conflicts of the past, El Salvador etc. The Mexican Army has admited that over 17,000 troops have deserted, taking their weapons with them.

It's about time for the fight. The prices have been going up, the availability going down, and for what?
I'm tired of waiting for a 2A War. I want to know where every congressman stands, on the record. If the president has some much clout, if the "people" voted for to have their money stolen and their rights taken away, then let's see the congress and president pull this one over us. I can just see the perfect NRA or RNC ad opposing another AWB. If they want a fight, they need to bring it or shut the (____) up.
I've heard the worst part about a colonoscopy is the prep.

not to forget the 3k+ price for a warn out ak in the US. you can buy them in africa for what $50?

Sen. Reid nows joins with Pelosi on saying NO AWB. Also catch the paragraph that Pelosi says the admin didn't consult with her. That is the second or third time I have heard that in the reign of BHO. I get the feeling that there is a little breach forming between the powers in Congress and BHO agents. Maybe? Maybe not? I gonna keep watching that space...

Can we find a way to drive a wedge between the liberal socialists in Congress and the communist in the White House.
Of course they don't want to take action on the National level (at least not yet ) They assume they will get creamed in the mid term elections if they do that.
For now they will keep trying to get State laws passed and continue trying to slip stuff into other bills. The part that really sucks is that the State level stuff gets some legitimacy from the 10th amendment. :-\

The Nancy and Harry show are biding their time, up coming mid term elections, and the domestic "agenda" are taking the limelight.
Moreover, NO Republicans signed onto the House stimulus package, the fly is already in the ointment. If the Dems push for the AWB now, the Dems will be seen as what they really are.
When the time comes, they will "change their mind", and see the "wisdom" of an AWB. Part of the UN gun grabbing policies for a more friendly US of A.
In the mean time, the quiet method is to try the state route, like here in South Fla. The Local Sheriff wants them banned locally, even though they are, for now, still legal to purchase.
Back door, side door method first, than the full frontal AWB, and they want to make it permanent. Maybe biding their time to get BHO to shore up the Supreme Court with anti gun justices...
Its only been a month of BHO, and the AG has let his plans be known, "Surprised?" We all saw it coming.
Step by step, by inch by inch, its coming.....
Remember what Harry Reid said? "The surge has failed, the War is lost,...." Thanks Harry...
