Title: So, I was at the book store in the mall...
Post by: CZShooter on February 27, 2009, 09:09:29 PM
My youngest daughter wanted a specific book...so I was forced to take her to the book store at our local mall (BTW, I detest going to the mall, so I haven't been there in a year or two). Anyway..I decided to browse the magazine rack while she searched for the book she wanted.

I was amazed at what magazines they carried in this place. They had a large selection of adult magazines (Playboy, Penthouse, etc...), they had magazines focused on some rather obscure hobbies, they even had magazines such as High Times and Weed World. ???

Do you think they had a single firearm-related magazine? Of course not. No Combat Handguns, no Guns and Ammo...heck, I don't even think I saw a Field & Stream. So...I expressed my displeasure, collected my daughter, and left without making a purchase (told the clerk I would purchase the title from another store when he offered to order it for us).

So...I guess my interests are less socially acceptable than illicit drug use and porn. I think I will write B. Dalton Booksellers and express my displeasure. Then I will be sure to inform them of all the gun-related publications that I've purchased elsewhere.

The local CVS just started carrying a few gun mags...I think people are starting to realize that there's money to be made on the gun community. That is, unless they take our guns away. OR at least TRY to take our guns away. It's so amazing what flies. Like all those movie stars that occasionally have some limp-wristed comment to make about guns, but they've made a ton of money making movies where they're running around shooting people and blowing things up.

It's a strang world.

The new James Bond actor is one of those guys who thinks we shouldn't have guns but it's okay for him to play a character with a license to kill.

He British, what do you expect. They wanted to take OUR guns when they could still have their own.
Put a stop to that crap at a place called Yorktown  ;D

"Books A Million" carries gun magazines. Some I hadn't even heard of. Of course, this is Texas.

I went to the local Kroger Food Store and they have a better selection of magazines then Walmart.  Plenty of gun mags SWAT, SOF, Combat Handguns etc.

Or the ones who don't think we need guns, but are always surrounded by a cadre of armed bodyguards.

Our Barnes & Noble has a great selection and I save money!

The Starbucks sells me a $4.00 cup of joe so I figure, I can read all the articles in the gun mags for FREE!  I sit in a nice comfy chair, sip my overpriced cup-o-joe and read the stuff I want to read and leave it in the rack.  When the wifey gets done trying on clothes, she gives me a call and I go pick her up...It's a great arrangement.

So the only movies you watch are "The Ten Commandments", "Quigley Down Under" and anything with Kurt Russell in it? ;D

Most if not all of Hollywierd is anti gun, except for maybe Pitt and Jolie who said last year if you break into their house, your probably gonna get shot..... ;D

Let's face it, folks. Most of the sheeple out there want to be distracted from their lives, which drugs and porn provide.

This is one of the good things going on at Front Sight.  Ie the re-education of actors and media.  They built a whole "vip" experience where they limo them out from Las Vegas, have special suites for them and then take them through the same training we would get and they have had some success with conversion.  That is winning back a little bit at a time and it may be a limited number that they will get but in the line of would the manufacturers taking placements in movies point to training, from a if you want to get a feel for realistic operation come to our training facility, its just an hour away.  Would Jodi Foster become a great 2nd amendment supporter because of a week at Front Sight, probably not but it can't hurt.
