Title: Show #99 microphone sound
Post by: RTFM on March 02, 2009, 07:25:39 AM
Michael, your new microphone has no bass and very little mid range to it (for me).

I presently have three connected headphone I use to listen to Down Range Radio:

AKG K702 Audiophile - home audio
Plantronics Gamecon 777 - game pc
Shure SE530 Sound Isolating head phones - iPod

And all three are exhibiting the same audio. You sound clearer and slightly more open than the old microphone but I can't seam to compensate for the excess treble of your new one, there is to much high frequency for me.

Hope it helps.

I agree.  The show didn't sound a good as with your previous mic.

yeah, the latest show sounded like you were on a speaker phone or something. I thought it was by accident at first, like you recorded it in a hotel and had no choice until you mentioned that it was a new mic.

I had the same experience.  It actually sounded amatuerish compared to your previous episodes.  I suggest resurrecting the old mic.   8)

Yep, tinney (too much treble / gain) but very clear.
