You know they have every right to thier "IMO".  If you don't think anyone should have a gun, thats fine, but your security needs to be unarmed them.  If you were to take all of those names, remove all those that don't live in LA county, then cross refernce them with CCW holders, I bet you atleast 25% of them will have ccw(in you negate those that can not get them do to crimal backgrounds)

A list of many, many hasbeens and hypocrites. Gun use in movies made much money for many of them, but now many are afraid of losing their percieved star status so they side with the know nothing anti/sheeples to be a part of anything..  Loosers

They should have listed the 2a friendlies--it would be a lot shorter, easier read. ::)

When I read that list (a long time ago) the only one that surprised me was Kevin Costner.  However, several who make their livings with guns in the shows they make disappointed me.

By the way, unless he has changed his ways they missed Mel Gibson.  Remeber those anti gun posters in the squad room of the Leathal Weapon series?  That was his doing  >:(

Sorry to see Michael Gross on the list as one of the best movie scenes was Reba and him in their gun room fighting the worm in "Tremors".

I always thought Danny Glover was behind that. He wasn't on the list either.

Being an NRA list some are going to be missed.  As much as some say the NRA is over reactive and vicious, they do try to be as accurate as possible before putting stuff like this out.  That would explain why some are missed.

I agree that Mel Gibson & Danny Glover belong on the list.  Yet, regarding the _Lethal Weapon_ movies, the antigun messages splattered through them are the work the director Richard Donner (who is on the list).  Donner has a long history of antigun agitprop going back to his work as a TV director in the early 1960s.

For instance, for the old _Fugitive_ series, Donner directed a blatantly antigun piece of trash episode about two 12 year olds who order a rifle through the mail (as Oswald was alleged to do) and stir up trouble in their little town as they try to capture Richard Kimble with it.  Of course, Kimble gets away.  The story ends with one character, a law enforcement officer, making a speech how buying guns this way should be illegal.  It was soon to be.  The title of the episode of is "In a Plain Paper Wrapper."  It first aired 19 April 1966.  (Source: IMDB.)

Note the year 1966 was the first time the Congress seriously approached voting on the law the would become the Gun Control Act of 1968.  I doubt it was a coincidence that as the proposal was before Congress in 1966 that the antigun hooligans took to the airwaves with their propaganda through the guise of entertainment.  It is for this reason the NRA list matters.  Some of the people on it may be has-beens, but they reflect the reality the entertainment industry is no friend of the 2nd Amendment.

That was discussed quite a while back (not that is wrong for you to bring it back up).  However, there was some question as to his feelings about the general public and guns.  Can't remember how it came out, but at least he helped the department.

Yes, The cops said they needed them but the city (I think it was Phoenix) said they could not afford them so Spade bought them and donated them. I never liked him but I thought that was pretty cool. That's how America USED to be, if something was needed the people got together and got it done. Now they run to Nanny gov.

Occasionally I will quote a dem., JFK, "Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what you can do for your Country."

Think of all the wrongs that could be righted, and the abuses that could be eliminated if we adopted that ethic  ::)

I also feel that they have a right to their opinions. I just wish they wouldn't use their celebrity status as a platform to spout their BS. I'm sure none us opinionated DRTV members are very swayed by what a celebrity has to say, but their worshippers sure do follow them.

By the way, I ran into Robert Patrick at Disneyland's California Adventure a few weeks ago (I love The Unit and feel he is a great actor). Since he's on The Unit, I'd like to have known what he thinks of this subject. I left him mostly alone, so he could enjoy time with his family, but I told him that my wife and I loved the show. He asked why I wasn't home watching it and luckily I knew that it was a rerun that night.

But there was kind of an anti-gun message in Tombstone. At least the no guns in town law didn't end up working out.

JFK was given an M1 Garand by the NRA, and He wrote back a gracious letter, Rifle should be somewhere in that room full of gifts, presidents receive but cannot keep, of course He had a special exception, not making fun there.
I really would like to see all those gifts, does anyone know if they can be viewed??

Drew Carrie bought AR15's for himself and friends, not because he is an enthusiast, but He figured anything the Government said you shouldn't have, was the best reason to have one. ;D

I am confused about Micheal Gross being on the list.

He proudly states that He's a member of the NRA.  Why would the NRA let him join if they consider him a threat?

His money is just as good as anyone else's.

Barry Manilow was on the list...I am sad now.

That is almost a complete list of all the actors/other idiots that I think are morons, I wonder if that is just a natural coincidence? It is a statistical improbability that I hate that many people and they are all on a list that I would think would only be populated by idiots, What are the chances?

Proabably like every other loud mouth who wants to take guns from us but has one for their protection or pays some bodyguard to protect them with a gun. Hypocrites, all of them!
