Read it and weep, Brady!
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics2/75_believe_constitution_guarantees_right_to_own_a_gun
Seventy-five percent (75%) of Americans believe the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right of an average citizen to own a gun, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Just 14% say gun ownership is not a constitutional right. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure.
Of those with a gun-owner in the household, 89% say the Constitution guarantees a citizen’s right to own a gun. Sixty-four percent (64%) of those without a gun owner in the home agree.
A whopping 92% of Republicans say the Constitution guarantees their right to own a gun, compared to 64% of Democrats and 71% of adults not affiliated with either of the major political parties.
Despite the oft-cited concern about the danger of loaded weapons to children in the home, those with children in the house are a bit more likely to acknowledge gun ownership rights than those without children living with them.
I hope Obama listens to this poll!

Mean while back at the poll ...
I'm not sure I like the wording. Pollsters have a way of phrasing things that can drive you nuts. This poll is on "gun ownership." It does not appear to be on possession. As American Citizens living within accordance of the laws we have the Right to "keep and bear arms!" There are places in this Country and World where it is ok to own, but your firearm must be disabled if it is not at an "authorized location" - most commonly a registered shooting facility.
I would venture to guess that most of those answering were not playing the word games I am, but I am a believer that words are powerful and phrasing means everything.
