I'm starting two new threads here. I enjoy what others think of products and reading their advice.
#1 - I'm still looking for a red dot for my S&W 500 PC.
I have tried a Burris 235 based on their advice that it would work ... It did for two shots, and it is now a real good on on my Mark III competition target bullseye gun.
I've considered Aim Point, and am wondering about EoTech.
What do you think?

Dont know about Aimpoint, Eotech I have and like. QUICK target aquisition! Nice reticle, adjustable brightness, I've watched them do "torture testing" in the factory... THEIR TOUGH!
For anything other than a BB gun stay away from the 2x TruGlow sights. Miserable field of view, much worse than iron sights for target aquisition. I'm sure somebody else that made the mistake of buying one will defend them, so make your own call. :)

If you go with EOTech this is the model I like http://www.eotech-inc.com/products.php?id=4
XPS3-2
* Single transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length
* Shortened base only requires at most 2 3/4 inch of rail space compared to the 4 inch N battery sights
* Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with a simple O-ring, tethered cap; better sealing is achieved
* Battery compartment is now separated from the base to allow it to hover over the delta ring of the rifle
* Average battery life at brightness level 12 is roughly 500-600 hours, 3X battery life of N cell sights
* Three reticle options: 0- 65MOA circle with 1 MOA aiming dot, 1-single 1MOA aiming dot, 2-65MOA circle with two 1MOA aiming dots
* Available in Night Vision (XPS3) and non- Night Vision (XPS2) versions. The numbers reflect the number of the buttons on the back of the sight.
