As the first season of The Best Defense comes to an end, I wanted to remind all of our viewers to use the Forum at DRTV to post their comments and ask any follow up questions that might have come to you while watching the episodes. This week's episode is the last original content production, with next week being a "Best Of" presentation before the show begins re-runs.
As I look back at the body of work, I could not be more proud of the content delivered. Given the complexity of putting together a TV show, the limited time available to present information and the difficulty of trying to put out specific information to such a diverse audience, I think TBD Season One really accomplished quite a lot!
As we look forward to future seasons and segments, the comments and questions at the DRTV Forum are already playing a role. The more feedback we get, the better prepared we will be to satisfy the audience's interests.
The Best Defense has performed extraordinarily well in the ratings this season.... for that I thank all of our viewers! We expect to do the same in the future and your input will definitely help!

Speaking only for myself...I think you all did a helluva job.
I may not have agreed with everything in every episode, but I took at least one, often more than one thing, thing away from each, that I had not thought of, or had "known" for years, but was reminded again of how important that "one thing" might be.
In my personal opinion, I think it is the best show of it's kind. As much of a fan of PERSONAL DEFENSE TELEVISION as I was becasue Clint Smith and Mas Ayoob were regulars, I think THE BEST DEFENSE has exceeded that show.

Thanks for a great first year, and I look forward to season 2 and the new TBD series that Michael Bane is talking about on the pod casts where you are dealing with large scale Katrina type issues.....

Collaboration is hard, especially when all 5 of the collaborators are strong-willed Type A personalities...some "interesting" conversations that would be great on TBD Unplugged...
We haven't yet gotten the formal "green light" for Season 2, but I expect it momentarily, with production beginning in late summer for January 2010 premiere. I think the hardest part for us will be topping Season 1!
In the meantime, we begin production on TBD: SURVIVAL in two weeks, with the first episodes appearing in July. SURVIVAL addresses some of the more macro, societal issues that can impact your and your family's safety. Expect controversial...

I second Rob's comments that I am extraordinarily proud to have been part of TBD Season 1. The viewer feedback we have received this season has been outstanding, and I'm very glad to know that we hit the mark with the show. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to do it again next season.
With that in mind, please let us know what you want to see. We are particularly interested in "bridging the gaps" in conventional training to help you develop a complete skill set. At the same time, please bear in mind that we have to keep what we offer applicable to a broad audience with many different needs.

Great work on the first season of The Best Defense. Looking forward to a second season, if there is to be, but also grateful that Marshal, Michael Bane, Michael Janich and Rob Pincus were able to take the time to answer questions here on the Forum, along with Erik Lund. This media has helped make the show more personal.

I just recently discovered TBD, but it's programmed into my DVR now!

I am a long time firearms proponent and I and my wife have our Texas CHLs. I'm a firm believer in training and information. I watch everything that I can find regarding shooting and home and self defense.
Your program is a unique and special offering. I DVR every episode and I watch them with my wife and my 16 year old daughter.
I DVR many shows about the shooting sports and self defense, however The Best Defense is the only show that my wife and daughter look forward to and always watch with me.

Mike.....You might be old enough to recognise my handle. Despite the humor, I'm very serious about firearms, firearms safety and training. The name is a nod to my Dad. He loved Cat Ballou and especially Lee Marvin as Kid Shelleen. He's been gone over 20 years but I still think fondly of watching Cat Ballou with him every time that it was rerun.

Little late adding my .02 but I also watch, read and listen to everything I can get my hands on. I know it isn't possible, but I would like another 1/2 hour tacked on to the end of each show. It seem you are just getting started when the show ends.
