What, exactly and in detail, should the President of the United States within his Constitutionally delimited powers be doing with the, call it an hour (assuming he doesn't actually have a favorite team already), this took?
He is participating in a positive activity shared by millions of the people of this country. It's the kind of populist thing all Presidents have and will do,
For goodness sake in 99% of the other threads people are bemoaning the fact he is doing too much (all of it bad of course), so when he actually takes a few minutes to do something harmless we're going to jump on him for that?
Take off the old hate blinders and come back to reason.

Is there any way to extend the NCAA tournament for 3 3/4 more years. Maybe he will be so fixated on
it he won't have time to F**k up anything else.
BTW, does it matter who he picks, his white half will prevent him from winning any of the brackets anyway.

Don't you see that he is just one of us ... A down to earth real American. Of course that bracket board probably cost fifty grand to produce, and we'll waste another hundred grand tracking it. I'm not against anyone playing a pool, but this it ain't news, and by making it news distracts from the professional level that we elected him to perform at.

I dont know much of anything about running a country, but I do know that Obama did this for style points and to look cool - Thats NOT something he should be spending time on right now.
I would say that at the very least he could be reviewing the resumes of the candidates that will soon be replacing Geitner..... or perhaps taking a little extra time to further vet any future appointees for other various positions to make sure they have paid their taxes!

To answer my own question..... if you will remember, MSNBC(D) thoroughly drug Bush through the mud for pardoning the thanksgiving turkey this past year - A Presidential tradition that dates back for Lord knows how long...... he also took a pounding anytime we went on vacation to Camp David.
