Title: Fiocchi .223
Post by: blackwolfe on March 20, 2009, 12:15:07 PM
Found out that Midway USA had some Fiocchi 62gr FMJ available this morning (3-20-09).   http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=525287

Has any one used this and what do you think about it?
Also has any used any of the Prvi Partisian ammo and is it any good?

Seconded! Iwas looking at it 7.62x39. Any reports welcomed.

I've used Fiocchi ammo in other calibers...I've had no problems with it. I've also used the Prvi Partisian in 7.62x54R with good results.

I've shot the 55 grain FMG without a problem.

The 45 ACP and 9 mm has been very decent practice ammo as well.

I love Fiocchi, It's all the local range carries. I thought it was "cheap" ammo but it's not, just inexpensively priced.
I've used it in .357 Mag, .45ACP and .22 LR. The .22 shot as well or better than Eley at 25 yards and a lot cleaner.
As far as I KNOW Prvi Partisan is about the same as Wolf, Brown Bear etc., I don't know about their other calibers but the 7.62X39 That I have seen and shot was basic standard AK ammo.

That's good to know about the Fiocchi.  Privi seems to be pretty good stuff, brass case, sealed mouth and primer pocket (at least what I've bought) and burns clean enough.

+1  Cleaner than umc or white box win IMO.

Is their ( Prvi) 7.62 X 39 brass cased as well,  I haven't bought any of that brand in years.

I find their ammo works fine in all calibers. If anything I would say it is a little hotter than other inexpensive ammo i.e. CCI and Winchester.

Two months ago I ordered 7.62x39 from Cabelas and I finally received it. I was updated evry month as to when they expected it in. 500rds of Wolf in a heavy plastic ammo can (FMJ) for $135.
