Erik Lund is one of the many excellent instructors at the US Shooting Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. DRTV presents a series of videos where Erik will teach you a few of the fundamentals from this 3 days intensive tactical rifle course.

Video starts and after about 40 seconds it stop and starts from the begining. Haven't had this problem in awhile with your videos. Tried all the usual stuff but no luck.
Thanks
Bob

Awesome video. That recoil reduction by changing stance was also impressive. Now I have to go try that.
Hmm... maybe a class is in order. ;D

part 3 is excellent , tyvm.

Erik is awesome in his teachings and takes his work very seriously. Away from work he is fun, smart and just a great guy to be around. Glad you enjoy the video's. We love going out..filming and making them.

This morning, we uploaded the last video in this series.
It is about fixing the fighting rifle during combat.

Thanks for posting the videos. Excellent information, good refresher for those of us who have attended classes.
-
the rifle vids were great....very informative! Many of us will never go to a rifle class and these vids gave us some survival basics...the recoil reduction tip was PRICELESS!
-
Great videos, learn something new each time I watch them.
Not to sound like a very slow playing broken record, when do we get the iPod downloads of the videos? I could really use these on the range and replay them when I need them.
Thanks.

Still no deadline date for the iPOD version. We have not forgotten about it, it just seems that way.

Hello all, I am honored to annouce that I will be working in the Tactical Rifle section (http://www.downrange.tv/forum/index.php?board=15.0) of the forum. If you have any questions of comments about the videos or any other material, please feel free to contact me.

Erik - welcome to the boards.
I'm sure you will get a great workout sharing your expertise - thanx! 8)

I've always been a shotgun guy, but I'm saving up for an AR. I thought the videos were great and really informative. I can't wait to try them out.
-
Thanks, but Marshal and Marshal'ette did all the hard work. With creative use of computer-generated imagery, they managed to make me look good at what I'm doing. :D
Let us know how that new AR works out for you and welcome to the new world of the AR.

I picked up my RRA flattop with their 'not' carry handle rear sight on Friday and shot it today. I'm very impressed. I used some OLD military surplus mags and cheap ammo. 10% of our department/state rifle course is head shots at 100 yds prone. I hit about half of them right out of the bucket. :D
On a more serious note, why didn't any of you tell me about the horrors of cleaning the star chamber thingy!! :'( :P ;D

It's part of the overall Conspiracy!
It's like a crack dealer, the first taste is free. Once your hooked, then you learn about the dirty little secret, its incredibly addictive.
The barrel extension area can be quite a pain. I find that some good Q-tips and compressed air make a good combination to get into all the recesses. Check out MidwayUSA. They have some cleaning tools that are designed to get into those recesses and make the job a bit easier.
Regardless of your technique, it's definitely a labor of love.

Great Info. Much of it I've seen nowhere else. Thanks.
-
This was a good video series. However, I'd like to see this expanded considerably.
-
Well, come to the course! ;D
It would be tough to put a full 3 day course into video segments. Way too much information to convey.

Boy, am I figuring that out! (So is my wife BTW). I've got 100s of dollars worth of sights, slings and lights on my X-mas list for Santa.

Nothing new, Just got tired of being at the bottom of the page.
It's just my competitive nature showing it's ugly face. ;D
Okay then, how about this? If Marshall and I were to coordinate some new video training segments for the website, give me some ideas for topics or techniques you'd like to see.

Hi,
Thanks for this wonderful information about the video links. I would like to know more about it.

You guys probably know this, but none of the videos are working. Would be nice to watch the rifle videos again. Any ETA on when the video player will be working again?
As far as new ideas. Bringing a rifle into play from a vehicle. Room clearing, showing the slicing of the pie around corners, transitioning from a light to a dark area, and back into a light area (which plays havoc on your eyes). Those might have been covered already, but they are just a few ideas I have.
-
We are in the process of changing video players..so as soon as that is completed, all the videos and hopefully new ones will be up and running again. :)
-
This video series is now moved to our new video section:

To the 2M's and Eric, thanks! Neat stuff.
The first vid with the squared up position feels funky, I'm going to have to do it more then try it with live ammo.
I'd like to see some inside/CQB carbine shooting techniqes explored. (maybe you already did, I haven't seen them all yet)
Gotta go for now....Thanks again!! :)
