Title: Issue with Podcast
Post by: Ksail101 on March 26, 2009, 09:39:45 AM
This week I am having problems with the podcast. It sounds like it is skipping. I have deleted it and downloaded it twice and it keeps doing the same thing.

I cant explain what the issue is besides it sounds like it is on a cd and it keeps skipping.

 Anyone else having this issue?

I should add I am downloading it off iTunes.

Hey Haz- First of all how are you doing?

Well if I listen to it off the website, go to podcast section and press play a I have no issue, but I like having it on my iPod. I have every podcast downloaded and on my iPod so I can listen while I am driving, or doing whatever. So I guess I am just a baby I can just listen to it on here.

I have a Mac it just goes onto iTunes no matter what so. But I could try that.

I couldn't even do that Haz. Mp.3s are either downloaded with Quicktime, which makes it unable to transfer onto my ipod, and I cant even seem to get it into iTunes. It just says the Podcast's url is wrong or some crap.

I always just use iTunes cause it is quick easy and usually works. Maybe it is just on my end somehow. But like I said I have down loaded twice. But no one else seem to be having this issue. It is odd... I try downloading it later today and maybe that will make a difference.

It is so nice and simple with iTunes. I am just subscribed to the podcast and every wednesday it just automatically downloads.

The only problem I had was that it froze about 10:50. I just skipped the iPod past that and it played just fine.

Quit puffing and passing on my poor husband..  ;D
I'm sure when he gets home he will put his guru magick touch to it to see if there is anything he can do with it.

He is in the air right now somewhere between Phoenix and Wichita.. And we have ice and rain and wind all together starting to pile up. Nasty Nasty stuff here in Kansas USA.
He may not be able to make that hour and half drive home..as the roads are becoming pretty bad. And the Flint Hills is no place to slide off the road. Dead cell phone areas all over the place..

The only issue I had was some sort of high pitched noise that came and went during the whole thing. I downloaded it and then burned it to a disk to listen to in the car.

I had the same issue from iTunes as well. Kind of a chirp/skip type of thing.

Tell Marshall to get a room! It is not worth a life to drive in the crud we are getting now.

I normally download and listen with my iPhone and I didn't have the problem, so I double checked the download on iTunes on my Mac and it was skipping too.  So I downloaded the MP3 from the site and this is how I did it:

From this page - http://www.downrange.tv/radio/103.htm - right-click or command-click with the mouse and select "Save Link As.." (on the Mac) and pick the location where you want to save it. The download will proceed. Once it is downloaded import it into iTunes or your favorite MP3 playing software and it plays fine.

I hope this helps.....

Sorry, M'ette. You know we wouldn't pick on him, if we didn't think the world of him.  ;D
