So, I am left handed and while I work on strength to keep both sides of my body symmetric I am wondering what the thought plan is in these situations. Do I set up based on the attacker or do I just go with right side lead? Does it make a difference that I shoot right handed and thus in strong side carry that would place my right hip slightly closer?
thanks,
tom

The goal is to create a power base that puts your strongest side to the rear for maximum power. If you hit harder lefty, your right hand leads. Its primary job is to hit straight to the face or "stop" the attacker's right shoulder to shut down right-hand punches. A natural righty would do the same against a left-handed attacker.
Stay safe,
Mike
