That's not a newer version of the AM-180 is it? That video is too cool and the ammo is mucho cheaper!!! When you get yours I expect to see some porn and pronto!
;D ;D

That looks like the most fun you can have with your clothes on!
Mac.

I shudder to ask, but what does this beast go for? Because as I've mentioned in earlier posts, I do have a bit of an iguana problem down here. ;D
fightingquaker13 who is thinking entirely too gleeful thoughts about the next 3' hibicus muncher that makes it into the yard. "Let me introduce you to my 'lil friend". Its a Florida thing.

.50 cal is a little large for my rifles. Really like that 25 second burst of full auto though that twyacht posted. You could really make some swiss cheese out out of something with that machinegun.
-
If you have an AR lower, the conversion kit is available.... for $1750.00.
Something about the sear plays a part in the full auto conversion... its in the write up, on the link.

Cheaper than the 50BMG ammo, and the rifle to fire it.

After reading this post, the song "Mexican Radio" from Wall of Voodoo keeps playing in my head- ".....I wish I was in Tijuana eating barbecued iguana....." ;D

I've thought about it for precisely that reason. But the thing is, despite the fact that they say it tastes like chicken, I'm betting that the longer you chew it, the more it tastes like iguana.
fightingquaker13 who is still going with an S cubed strategy on the bastards

I have eaten it and it DOES taste like chicken.

I got em' here too FQ. Bastards went after my cat one time. Luckily the Fully Auto Airsoft I had was enough,...

The "iguanitos" are breeding well here in Ft. Laud. Frankly, I wouldn't mind some with honey mustard and collards. ::)

Question? Will that airsoft work on the yankees? Please give details on the airsoft as I think it will amuse the group, and be informative to me. I abut a golf course and while my trusty scope mounted RWS .22 pellet rifle does the job, it does look a little too Lee Harvey Oswald for the neighbors (Have I bitched about yankees yet?).

yankees? I hate the New York Yankees too! I am a Chicago Cubs fan. Hate the Illinois State Gun Laws but love Chicago. ;D

Because my neighbors complain,..

When I feel tacticool,,, I run the glow in the dark ammo,... ::) 8)

How many fps? How much noise does it make? How many ducats to buy? Seriously, I am interested in airsoft for pest control as well as amusement value, but know noyhing. Maybe we should start a new thread because I doubt I'm alone here. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the solution to your iguana problems (uses standard steel BBs).

Lots of gun shows have these. While the original grenade rounds can be found... The "bird bomb's" are enough to do a proper job on Iggy!

Fightingquaker, my suggestion is the Remington Air Master 77 that shoots bb's and a .177 Caliber pellet. I use Crosman .177 Cal. 4.5mm pointed pellets that can kill most varmints that a .22 rifle can.
-

I do find it amusing that someone from Florida is using the term "yankee". The south ends at the Florida line.
Half my family resides in Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. They see nothing "southern" about Florida, just a
bunch of northerners who couldn't hack the "cold" winters.
You can send the lizards up here if you want, just keep the B-52's mosquitos and illegals down there. ;)

Oh hell Ping! You're not from South Florida. I lived and taught in Indiana for 5 years and I understand you Hoosiers waste your days worrying about stupid things like efficency and practicality. However, we here in South Florida are more concerned about the important things in life, as we understand that its not what you do, but how good you look while doing it. Any idiot can kill a lizard with a good spring piston air rifle. The question is can you make its grandkids afraid of you while doing so and still be legal? The suggestions about grenade launchers and fully automatic weapons are what we're talking about. Screw the Chicago way, we're talking about the Miami way. Mass destruction and color coordinated if at all possible. If not, basic black is ok, because it always goes with white linen seer sucker.

If you're going to do it the "Miami way"...you'll have to slip a sport coat over your t-shirt and borrow Rastus' Bren Ten. 8)

The illegals?Would that include the folks from Jersey? Some of my people were here in the 1840's. (I guess they did something really bad back home because Fl. before DEET and screens yikes!) Any way if you're going to pull the southern card, I'll remind you that Tallahassee was the only Confederate capital never conquered. The fact that there was already a golf course community planned with Sherman as an investor don't signify!

Back on track, air softs are cool, and cheap, if you get the chinese and korean stuff, the electric guns are usually 250 fps, the gas guns can go 300-500 fps, but are more expensive, and I mean a lot more expensive 100 - 300 bucks, but could be worth it for training real life scenarios. My suggestion, get some electric carbine versions and 5000 bb's and have at it, you'll love it. Further advice is to get the versions that have the 250 round mag, that you roll a wheel on the bottom of the mag to keep feeding it. they do wear out, but for the money, you get what they are worth and probably more.
-
You guys need guns to kill a leetle leezard?
Send 'em up to Georgia....we'll get 'em with a fly-flap or a cane pole. ;D ;D

What is wrong with using a bow and arrow to take out a lizard? 8)

What is wrong with using a bow and arrow to take out a lizard? 8)
$10 arrow +$20 broadhead + pulling lizard off said broadhead+cleaning it without cutting yourself and geting infected with salmonella tainted blood. Add to that the real risk of PI if ANYTHING goes wrong and the unstealthy nature of the thing. Believe me, I've thought about it. Its just that for me, it needs to be quick, quiet and with zero chance of collateral damage, hence pellet/bb guns or air soft.
FG13 Crikey! Thats a big one!

Finally some sanity! Thanks operator. Anything you would reccomend in the low dollar, adequate performance range? As I said this is 25% killing lizards 75% entertainment value.

An AirSoft is not going to be lethal...just a rude wake-up call (not enough mass to penetrate). If you want to take them down for good...I would recommend a break-barrel air rifle. I have a Gamo Shadow 1000 that will send a standard .177 pellet (I use Crossman hollow points) at a velocity of 1000 fps. It is quiet and effective. I have taken small game with it (squirrels and rabbits) and it dropped them on the spot.

Paintballs hit harder than some air soft BBs and you can paint the iguanas whatever color you want. That sounds like entertainment to me. :) We don't have iguanas around here but a guy told me there were a lot of yellow squirrels around his house after he shot them.
