I always wondered why Pincus had that big-ass push bumper on his Excursion.  Now we know, as the late Paul Harvey used to say, the rest.........of the story!

I recorded this video Tuesday morning at about 10:00 in a neighboring county. I happened to have my digital camera and turned it on and sat it on the dashboard. This crap went on for over 9 miles. This is just a short clip.
The wife was on the phone with SO and they asked us to stick with them at a safe distance so we could direct them to where we were. There were several near head-ons. Very high pucker-factor indeed. My wife was about to crap every time they swerved. Turned out to be a lady with a severe alcohol problem.

Peg, thanks for doing your part to save, potentially, multiple lives.  You and your wife are HEROES.  About 2-1/2 years ago someone much like the lady you videotaped bounced off a bridge abutment into the path of a car driven by my brother-in-law.  Both he and my sister, as well as the drunk, were killed.  You have no idea the amount of pain your actions may have prevented.  God bless you!!!

Copied and pasted the "IMG" code from my photobucket page. Never done it so didn't know if it would work or not.

I'm normally the last guy to tend to other people's business, but in this case it was pretty clear-cut.
I had a good friend get killed by a drunk driver and also worked with a guy whose 12 year old son was run over by a drunk driver. Both were hit during the morning time.
I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine.
I'm not against drinking (I'll sure as hell pull a cork now and again) I just do it at home, or get a driver.

Sorry to 'Hi-Jack' your thread, Rob........ ;)

No worries...  (unless you were suggesting that we were all drunk?)   ;)

PS- Thanks for the posting tip....

Never.........  ;)

Just a segue into showing that an auto can be a lot more deadly than a bullet.

So that is how you knock down those pepper poppers! I have been shooting them for years with my .22s and they barely flinch ;D.

That will end the whole 9 mm vs 45 debate.

Maybe, but my V8 is more effective than your Prius, and has a higher capacity.  ;D

And doesn't turn if you stick your arm out the window.     ;D

I drive a 84 ford f 350 4wd, long bed, with a 460... I'm rolling about 6400 lbs empty, about 6800# the way I normally drive it.

I would run right thru a prius.

Its like the CHP officer told me years ago.   who ever has the most lug nuts wins.   ;D

edit, I call small cars that like to pull right infront of me then slam on the brakes, "speed bumps"  sooner or latter one of them is going to do that too me when I'm towing my 8000# dump trailer and I'm not going to be able to stop.

...but, but...whadda 'bout the balance of "speed and precision"??  Seems like the driver didn't acquire the targets fast enough as there was little need for precision or deviation control??

Now would the 'driver' if using an OODA loop stop after all targets were acquired and put it in reverse and back up--doin' it all again, ya know...just to make sure of course!!

I had a situation last year like PegLeg...

Coming home from work one afternoon when I got behind a woman swerving all over the road.  Decided to stay behind her and called it in.  She went through our town and into the next so they switched me to the other PD and they asked that I stay behind her and start my flashers.  It lasted about five miles.

She nearly took out ten or twelve cars and almost head on into a semi before three other drivers, myself and the oncoming Mendon PD forced her into a parking lot and boxed her in.  Her door opened and out fell a middle aged women in a bikini, drunker than I've seen anyone in a long time.

Handcuffs and a quick ride to the pokey.
