I was looking at all the the reseach I had done for my now nonexistent new job teaching poli sci, on gun and drug politics as part of a legislative studies class. I had thought that we were safe in regards to an AWB minus an X factor. That has presented itself with the latest string of shootings. I was surfing the web to console myself and found an old chestnut.Never thought that I would listen to the lyrics and take them seriously (minus the fact that Hoover was a Quaker and you have to show a brother some love). Pushing 40 though, I have admit that in this day and age, old Archie did make some sense :-[. Anyway it brightened my day and made me think about the zoot shooters (who are always good for a grin). Hope you enjoy the extended version.

Haha! Even a few years over 40, I am still too young for that show. ;D
It's hard to believe that All in the Family was a controversial show, when you see all of the crap we see today.

I remember the intnense laughter that would erupt from the studio audience (or laugh track) and my family when you'd hear Archie flush the toilet.
That just wasn't done on t.v. before.
And OMG, Gloria and Mike divorced....Edith got sexually assaulted, years later died.
Archie stood up against the Klan.
Those WERE the days.
