Not surprisingly, Mayor Antonia Villaraigosa is more concerned with politicking, then with solving or stopping actual crime. He's heading another gun buy-back program on May 9th. These guns will not be ballistically tested "to match them up to unsolved crimes, in hopes that that will encourage Angelenos to participate in the program." Sound like it's possible that some may be encouraged to take part, so that they can permanently get rid of evidence.

I'm awfully tempted to take my finish-warn Phoenix Raven .25, that I got for $39 dollars and trade it in. I just can't let them melt it down to further their misguided agenda.
And this guy wants to run for Governor. In this instance, we CAN do worse than the Governator!

yea and they work real well ::)
The reforms here banned the use of semi automatic and pump action shotguns and rifles, destroying more than 700,000 weapons taken from a population of 12 million adults.
this is at a cost of over $500 Million to the Australian Public (Tax Payers )
over 10 years later there has been no tangible reduction in homicide, also there has been no effect on suicide rates in Australia because of the buy-backs, initiated by the then Prime Minister John Howard in 1996 to ‘make Australia a safer community’.

I've said it before and I'll say it again......if gun control equaled crime control Washington and Chicago would be the two safest cities in the country. How can it POSSIBLY be that they're not?
Excuse me while I wipe the dripping sarcasm off my keyboard.

I wonder if you brought in some of those Daisy Spittin' Images guns of late in...they look like 30-30...the new ones are junk...the triggers are atrocious. You oughta be able to get 'em for $30 or so...how much to trade in. We all know police aren't necessarily gun people....

Glad to be an Iowan!! (With the exceptions of Des Moines, Davenport and Waterloo)

Just thank your lucky stars it's not a patch on your ass!!

if it had been a patch on the ass, you would not have to work...Huge pay out there...
Honestly, there is nothing a mayor could do to stop crime in LA. If you have never been there, you just would not understand. Parts of the LA area( and bay area for that matter) make TJ look like a safe place.
