This is unreal, the homeowner sounds like a soft spoken man, as he hands the phone to his wife, as he gets his gun.
A man out of control is kicking at his door and picks up a patio chair and attempts to enter the home.
He is shot and killed.
The 911 operator tells the wife to have her husband put the gun down. (That part had me yelling at the TV), You put the gun down when the flashing lights are in the driveway.

Fox News reports the homeowner is distraught, and can't even sleep in his own house...
He sounded like a decent man. I hope he can get through this.

Yeah, the 911 operator should be charged with aiding the criminal. "Tell your husband to put down the gun..... if he shot him he won't get up...."

Manslaughter is what the 911 operator would should be charged with if the guy were to have killed both the woman and her husband.
"Im going to shoot him in hopes that he wont get up."

Instead of the gun, I think this couple would have been far better served by putting down the phone...............::) Let's hope the call is reviewed and the operator is reprimanded and instructed properly for future incidences.
