The BA-K-47 is a full size replica of an AK-47 made out of bacon (and wire). Quick, put it in my mouth and pull the trigger! Mmmm, lardy!

We had our first annual Bacon Day this past Saturday. As a huge fan of bacon, and all the great bacon blogs out there, I decided it was time for me to make my own bacon creation. I came up with the BA-K-47, a 1:1 scale AK-47 made out of bacon. It took a total of eight hours to create, a lot of bacon, and a blowtorch... oh yeah, and our good friend beer helped too.

But it is a gun..... so it can go get more bacon! (That looks like what he is doing in the 4th picture) ;D

What I find so interesting about this is that this is at a bacon festival.... I would have thought that people like this that are so passionate about bacon would not be so skinny.

Exit Question:
Can you get additional CLIPS for it?

Exit Question #2: What does it use for ammo?

Now there are two reasons to ban that gun:

1. It is scary looking;
2. It will clog your arteries.

And if you look at real honest statistics, it's probably more likely to kill you than a real AK........

There's so many to choose from.

And if you look at real honest statistics, it's probably more likely to kill you than a real AK........

My thought also.

If you shoot a Muslim with a bacon bullet they can't get into Heaven, right? Tactical bacon, indeed.

The first time I was introduced to reloading was about 20 years ago. I was a new member of a local area gun club and one of the older gentlemen offered to show me his reloading set up. He cast his own bullets and used his own recipe of 20% linotype to 80% wheel weights (he got them from several tire stores free). He also added a tablespoon of bacon grease into the mix as it was melting to act as both a lube and fluxing agent. I thought he was BS-ing me until I watched him do it for a batch. I don't know anything about casting as I've always bought bullets so I don't know if he was off his rocker or not. His loads were very accurate.

Peg,

Don't you use bacon grease to lube the patches of that flintlock  ;)

Naw...I use Rigg gun grease........ ;D

Of course, that may be made from hog fat too.

The 1858 Sepoy mutiny in India against the British was touched off by a rumor that the new paper cartridges being issued to muslim troops were lubed with pig fat. It wasn't true, actually they were lubed with mutton tallow.

I was talking about melting the bacon grease into the molten lead and stirring it in. Had never heard of that.

What you are talking about desecrates the shot Muslim, they were using muzzle loaders and thought it desecrated the shooter.
