Has anyone seen this?
Not sure what to make of it.
On one hand we recreate the Strategic Hamlet tactics of the '60's and arm some of the people, on the other hand we confiiscate weapons that might mean life or death for others.
Best regards to all,

As far as I know we are still not disarming Iraqi's for a number of reasons. In tribal areas gun ownership is a sign of manhood and to take them away would reduce that person's standing withing the community as well as make him and his family vulnerable to raiding terrorist, insurgents, and rival clansmen. Iraqi's are allowed to own one weapon per household and only weapons caches and heavy weapons are typically confiscated or destroyed.
