Between the Blunderbuss

Than the Kentucky Long Rifle

When a  roughly .54 caliber ball when you need to send the very best.....

Although a Viking Broadsword and/or battle axe, in the right hands, back in the day, was a full auto assault weapon.

The short barreled blunderbuss! Now there is your home defense shotgun. Ye Gods! That would clear a hall, though it might be a bit hard on the furniture.
FQ13 who is giggling wonder what the cop's report would look like, and wondering how many #1 buck you could load on with

Speaking of assault weapons............here are some pics of a scale replica of an 'original assault weapon' I built with my son for his history class project.
He had to build a 'working model' of a Battering Ram.

Wondered what your signature said, but was too lazy too look it all up. Thanks for saving me time. Now I can use that extra time to sharpen my pitchforks.  :)

Ye gods Peg! When I was making scale models, they were usually about a foot high, not made out of 4x4s! After what it took to get that thing to school, I at least hope he got to demonstrate it properly. NEVER let your son get near Haz's kid or the world is doomed. ;D

Oops, my bad. My computer was running slow, and I just saw the first pic. It looked like it was taken outside. I thought that y'all had built a full size replica, not a model. Still good, but not as impressive in the full size siege engine, scare the crap out of the teacher kind of way.

We gave it some thought (at least an 8' long one anyway)....it would have been much easier to fabricate....albeit harder to get to class.
This one was a foot long (I was figuring about a 1:40 scale).
